After having the displeasure of perusing the proceeding reviews, I find myself at a loss. Perhaps since it's move, as well as a year long hiatus, people have forgotten what good Thai food is like? Perhaps the consumers' pallets have been adulterated and sullied, saturated by all the other upstart Thai restaurants that sprang up in an attempt to fill the void that was left by Bangkok Thai? Whatever the case may be, some individuals seem to have been misled. This certainly comes as no surprise in a state where many uneducated and unrefined diners think that partaking of a meal at Olive Garden or Red Lobster constitutes fine dining. My advice is to the writers of future articles; take some time to figure out what you are talking about before pretending to be an expert. Having grown up around Thai cuisine and culture, and having grown up spoiled and glutted on good food, having dined in some of the finest restaurants in the world, I am no false epicurean or gastronomic poseur, and I will attest to the fact that BANGKOK THAI HOLDS ITS OWN against anything you can find in the country. I can cite better known rivals in Hawaii and California that can't hold a candel to this establishment. For those of you whom cannot fit the chairs or who find fault with the "decor", I have a few other words of advice- 1) ambiance isn't everything, and 2) Bangkok Thai Talay is conveniently located next to a 24 hour fitness. This place is the root, the original Thai. They were the ones who had the "Best Of" title year after year until their jersey was retired...and they still deserve it. I suggest readers go out and support this gem of a restaurant, before it is lost to the waves of the cheap, the pretentious, & fickle.
Pros: The absolute best Thai, amongst other things, for an extremely reasonable price. It's great for dates, I bring my girlfriend here weekly.
Cons: Some of the clientele bring in children, which I doubt is a plot to increase alchohol sales for nearby tables, but it does the trick.
