Horrible Customer Service.

by relaxlovr1 at Citysearch

I buy bare minerals at the spa club. One night I got off of work early just so that I could get my makeup because it was out.I raced over there,i was so relived that I got there ten minutes before they closed,I ran up to the doors and they were locked. There was a girl that came over and talked to me through the door! She did not even have the courtesy to open the dooe!I explained I just needed this one product, just my foundation,I knew exactly what I needed. She refused and said they were closed!RIDICULOUS.I am so furious.I will never go back to the spa club.I am going to go to nordstroms where they have much better customer service and talented makeup artists.I am so fed up.

  • Pros: Close to my home.
  • Cons: Awful staff.

Most I have ever paid for such bad service

by ArtistSLC at Citysearch

My mother and I get pedicures and manicures every two weeks and we have tried quiet a few places. My mother got a gift certificate for a 45 minute pedicure at this spa so we decided to try it out. We arrived at the "spa" and let them know we were there for our appointments. The girl behind the counter told us to sit. After ten minutes a woman comes out from the back and asks us to follow her. She takes us to this room that has a long raised wood bench with a little bit of padding on it and below the bench are the foot baths. The same foot bath that we have at home which was purchased from Sears for $25! There were two other woman getting pedicures and we sat in between them on the bench. It was very uncomfortable. The padding was minimal and we were so close to the other women I could not get comfortable. What happened to massage chairs?

The girls left to go get what was needed for the pedicures. They were gone for ten minutes. When they came back we picked out our nail colors and they asked if we wanted a drink. We asked for water. They came back with little white Styrofoam cups...... After we were finished with our miniscule amount of water they did not offer to throw away the cup. I finally mentioned that I was finished and the girl working on my feet took the cup and set it next to my foot bath.

Over the course of the pedicure the woman on my left tipped over her tub twice, my mom tipped her once and the woman on the end tipped hers once as well. Anyone who has every used these tubs knows they are very light, but the nail technicians kept resting our feet on the front covers of the tubs to scrub them. Every time they did you could hear the plastic creek.

I had chosen to get french tips. Half way through the pedicure the girl starts telling me that one of my toe nails is lopsided and so she had to do the paint lopsided so thats why it looked funny.

At the end I was anything but relaxed.

I will never go here again.

Bad experiences!!!

by beebee91 at Citysearch

Alright,I went to the spa club for the first time and i had a terrible haircut but i decided to give it another try so i went back and i had a massage which was supposed to be 80 minutes and i looked at the clock and it was only thirty five and she gave me so much time to change its like she was just lazy and wanted to waste my time.i had a facial after and i had to get dressed they dont even have a waiting room i had to go back out in the lobby and wait FOREVER for my next appointment. It was so irritating.I had to sit there and listen to the front desk girls talk loudly. The facial was alright but the girl did not explain what she was doing and just tried to sell me everything.I was just so overall dissapointed with this place.I don't know how there are any good reviews.Go somewhere else relaxing!Honestly its worth the money for the experience!!!

  • Pros: new facility

Schedule ahead for lengthy services

by gamerdarling at Citysearch

Today was my third time going to the Spa Club at Jordan Landing and I've got few complaints and many compliments. First time I was a walkin, and had a lip and brow wax done. The wait was short, and they scheduled me for a hair appointment the next week. Today I had the lip and brow touched up and did a pampering acne facial. The esthetician had flawless skin, was very friendly, and answered all my questions, and asked her own to select the correct facial, before letting me relax during the treatment. She also made sure I was aware of the difference in the costs of the treatments I was choosing between, and I was charged exactly what she said I would be.

One of the other reviewers complained about being ushered out too quickly after her treatment, but I certainly didn't have that problem. I was given all the time I wanted to redress and revive after mine. Upon exiting the room I found her waiting patiently a couple feet down the hall with a glass of cool water and the product I requested so that I didn't have to search for it, a nice touch if you ask me.

Pros-

-Friendly, efficient staff

-Wonderful product for hair and skin, the moisturizer used cleared up my dry spots, just like that.

-Lovely relaxing music

-Honest staff that will tell you if they think a product/cut/look is a bad idea for you and offer an alternative that will work

Cons-

-Didn't apply pressure after the wax, minor complaint about a detail as I still didn't get the usual redness and irritation after the wax either time.

-Not the expected ambience for a spa, I can see how the 'fast food' comment applied, but the staffs care more than makes up for that.

  • Pros: Honest staff, background music, quality of product used
  • Cons: minor details

Horrible!

by alleycat22 at Citysearch

The girl who gave me the pedicure only gave me two options for the pedicure. However, there are about 4 options. So when I went to pay, she had charged me for the most expensive one when i told her I wanted the cheapest one. Not good service!

  • Pros: none
  • Cons: Nail polish messed up right when I left, had to come back and fix 2 times!
