It's Bliss now

It's not Vortex any more it's Bliss.. but I still wouldn't waste my time! There are much better clubs in Salt Lake .. even though it's not like we have the best of clubs lol

• Pros: Ladies usually get in free if you go early
• Cons: It's dirty!

Club Whore-tex

This place is awful. We called ahead to check that there was a bar and they told us there was. When we arrived there was a huge line outside (it was a Saturday night) and they made us wait until 10:30 to get in. The bouncers were rude and making fun of everyone because we were cold. It was pretty pricey for such a disappointing scene ($10) and once we had paid and gone in... NO BAR! We danced on the stage in the main room, celebrating my friend's birthday, but it was so awful we left after 20 minutes. There were only creepy 18 year old boys standing around, staring at the girls, or young girls feigning s*x and other inappropriate acts against the walls. We tried the other rooms in the club and they were mostly empty and unentertaining. Very disturbing, unless you are a desperate 18 year old or a pervert.

• Pros: None. Well... I suppose the few sofas were nice.
• Cons: Everything! Price, atmosphere, no alcohol, rude and gross people, immaturity..

It's Hot for SLC

Come on SLC thought u was da city in utah 4 fun nightlife in Utah???only 1 place...St George! Maybe not big on da club scenes (yet) but it's cummin just ask my boys in SoCal bringing some exclusive hiphop down here like Utah has neve seen...we got 24 hour raves more on every other corner atleast in tha DD (dixie downs) west side of SG...all the hard #$%& u could find out in da world 2 my dawgs n dawgettes! Plus u got vegas an hour away (nice hook-ups). But ne way, yeah ur club's poppin' from what ive heard i guess..keep it real.. peace from ya boyz in da 435 St Geezy keepin it HOT!

• Cons: not for those wit no life

Vortex Rates

The club had multiple rooms to wander into with various atmospheres. Plenty of good looking people to watch, especially on the 18+ dancefloor. Security is on top of most altercations that may happen and are courteous. Sometimes it is a bit crowded on Wednesdays but better more than less.

• Pros: Pretty ladies, Good music, Relaxed atmosphere
• Cons: Poor parking, Long lines on Wed.

House music inundates this sexy club, bursting with provocatively clad singles in search of a good time.

Four levels of dance floors and an outdoor swimming pool make for a variety of DJs and people-watching. Techno is the preferred genre, so get ready to get down alongside true-blue club kids. Lingerie and bikini fashion shows are popular, so there's also a lot of skin. The bartenders mix up a mean Long Island iced tea when you're ready to watch dancers bump and grind on the 18-and-over floor below you.
