I went into Lunatic Fringe on Parley's Way last weekend and had a great experience. Everyone working had such an attitude of teamwork! It was wonderful to be around people that love what they do. Thanks to everyone that works there! I love my new Bumble and Bumble spray shine!! Thanks again.

I have had problems with my hair my whole life. I've been to many salons and no one seems to understand my hair. I was told to go to Margie by a friend so I did. Not only did she give me an awesome color and cut, she also took the time answer all my questions and help me understand my own hair. She really made me feel like my hair was important to her. I was worried I wouldn't be able to make my hair look as nice as she made it look but she took the time to teach me how to take care of it and style it better myself so now I can do it at home. If you're looking for a stylist go to Margie, she is the best!

My hair looks amazing!!

I pass Lunatic Fringe on my way to work and decided I would give it a try. I didn't know anyone there when I called but I got an appointment with Margie. Not only was the service amazing but I finally found a hairstylist I trust. She asked me a bunch of questions and got pretty specific with me so that she and I were thinking the same thing. She gave me her opinion and even got the opinion of some of the other stylists there. I got VIP treatment and I loved that my hair was important enough to her that she took her time to do an awesome job and took the time to show me how to style my hair, the way she did, when I have to do it myself. I've had so many compliments since then. I absolutely LOVE my hair. Thanks Margie!

Best men's haircut in Salt Lake

As a guy I always feel uncomfortable getting my hair cut, but at Lunatic Fringe on Parleys way, I felt at home and relaxed. The atmosphere at the salon is nice but casual, and you are always greeted warmly. Hair stylist Soula has become my hair guru. I never really put too much thought into the appearance of my hair, but after a few appointments with her I now condition and treat my hair regularly. Her scalp massages are amazing, and I always leave looking great. For your next hair appointment try Lunatic Fringe on Parleys way and ask for Soula, you will not be disappointed.

Best Stylists!

I have heard that Lunatic Fringe is the best salon in Salt Lake City, and I can truly attest to that now. Lexi Wallis did my hair, and it has never looked so good! I will never go to anyone else as long as I am here. I highly recommend her. She is especially great with coloring! The salon itself is also great.

Best Salon in SLC!!!

After reading the excellent comments I decided to try it out! I went to Alex who was amazing. We sat talking for about 10 minutes about what we were going to do, what color I would like and what I did and did not like about my hair. She offered me water while I was waiting for her to mix the color up and spent the whole 3 hours focusing on me and my hair. I have been to a few hairdressers that fit as many clients into their schedule as possible and leave you with wet hair! Alex did just the opposite, she spent time making me look beautiful and even curled my hair after she had styled it! All I can say is WOW! They even have a "lather lounge" that is quiet and separate form the music-filled salon that felt like heaven when I had my hair washed and a warm towel put over my forehead. The only thing that was kind of different about this salon is everyone is helping everyone else in the salon. People in training would come over and help pass the foils over for the weave, a gentelman helped blowdry my hair and the same gentleman helped wash my hair all while Alex was working on the other side of my hair. I have never had that kind of treatment before which was kind of different to me but I guess in all it helped me get out a little bit sooner. Also, at the end of my appointment they had at least 5 different products on the shelf to purchase which they had used in my hair earlier. It was nice because I did not feel pressured to buy them yet they were written down for me just in case I would like to buy them next time. This is was my first appoinement and I feel I will be back. I have long blonde hair and the blonde color was gorgeous and Alex actually got the color down to my roots so I left feeling like a blonde bombshell! I definitely recommend this salon and would go see Alex. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for! Hope this helps everyone else in search of a new salon!

Best Salon In SLC!!!

I have been to many salons in Salt Lake City, and Lunatic Fringe is by far the best! They give you VIP treatment and for a reasonable price. They will sit down with you and make sure they know exactly what you want. Everyone that works there is very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Lunatic Fringe to anyone that takes their hair seriously. Best in SLC by far!!!

So I've lived all over the place and my salon choices have run the gamut--everything from at home disasters to a hot shot, overpriced, fancy-schmancy Orange County salon. I'm new to this area, and thought I'd do some research online before picking a new salon. I read good reviews about Lunatic Fringe, particularly the Parley's location, so I made an appointment. It was fabulous! It has all of the perks of a fancy, trendy salon without the stuff you hate. They were all very friendly and accommodating (tons of magazines, drinks, etc.). The stylists are trendy but you don't look at them and think that they've been fooling around with their hair way too much and look ridiculous (this is rare in my experience). They ask each other advice and you can tell that they genuinely enjoy working together and want to help each other out. They also have a no gossip policy! How cool is that? If only the Clinique counter would follow suit!

Their products work and smell great, and the scalp and neck massage is worth the price. Alex G. said she wanted to give me the best haircut I ever had, and I'm convinced! She really listened to what I want and gave great suggestions. I have received tons of compliments!

So, in short, stop looking. Go here. It's kind of pricey, but not compared to a lot of other places in the country (if that makes you feel better). Ask for Alex--you won't regret it! I wish I needed my hair cut more often..seriously.

Jeff is AMAZING!!!

I have gone to jeff for about two years now. I moved to San Diego about a year and a half ago and I make special trips to SLC to see him. He is so passionate and creative i leave the cut and color ideas up to him. I am always very impressed with his work.

I get so many compliments on my hair all of the time, so many that i have referred people who live in San Diego to him.

Chris is the ONLY person who will ever touch my hair again!!

Chris was reccomended to me by my very picky manager. I had not been to a salon in almost ten years because of a horrific experience (lets just say I would never want a mullet and somehow still got one!) However, I was feeling the need to be pampered and I trust my managers opinion so I figured I'd give it a shot. I felt extremely welcomed as soon as I walked through the door and was offered a complementary beverage of my choice. I was extremely early (as usual) so I expected to wait until my appointment time but as soon as Chris was done with his previous client he hurried over to me! I asked for a color (as close to my natural as I could get) and a trim (because I'm trying to grow my hair out!) and that is exactly what I got! The coloring product that they use is BEAUTIFUL (so rich) you cant buy color like that at a pharmacy! The whole experience was very relaxing and comfortable! Every time he left my chair (to get a product) he asked me if i needed anything and by the end of the experiece I had drank 3 sparkling waters and a hot tea! I had so much fun with Chris! Believe it or not, I wasnt scared in the least. Chris definately knows what he's doing! I got so many compliments and for the first time in my life I actually LOVE my hair! !And from now on he is the ONLY stylist that will touch my hair...I trust no one else! In fact, I scheduled another appointment that day! Only four more weeks until my next appointment and I cant wait!

• Pros: The awesome head and neck massage in the relaxing shampoo room, comfy sinks, atmosphere
• Cons: ABSOLUTELY NONE!

Alex G. is the best!

I have gone to many salons in Salt lake, but have not loved the way they cut and colored my hair. I have been going to the stylist, Alex Gerrard at the Parleys locations. She is always so friendly and helpful. My hair has never looked better. I love the way that she colors and cuts my hair. I can guarantee that you will never find a better stylist than her. You will get so many compliments, and best of all she actually listens to you about how you want your hair to look.
