I have been to many day spas and have had approximately 30-40 massages. This ranked in my top 5 worst. I was excited to try this "retreat". What a great idea, a cute cottage in the middle of Gardner Village where you can relax and do some shopping. With 5 or 6 giggling girls behind the front counter, this had more of a beauty parlor feel than day spa. The massage itself was horrible, the therapist applied absolutely no pressure at all. I left feeling more irritated than relaxed.
Pros: Great location for a day of relaxation and shopping
Cons: Immature atmosphere, inexperienced staff

I loved how Cottage Retreat was decorated really cute, great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and treated me great. My facial and massage were wonderful. They fixed my hair color which was ruined at another salon. The hair stylists are really great and fun to talk to. They cut my hair exactly how I wanted. I would higly recommend this day spa. I felt pampered and I looked great when I left. Very professional.

This spa is very country shabby sheik. My manicure and pedicure were fantastic...especially the manicure, however my hair was fried after getting a highlight and a trim! I was so frustrated, and I had to wait an hour before my hair was done. I would name names but I won't. Do not get your hair done here, unless it's an updo.
Pros: cute atmosphere, relaxing
Cons: long wait, terrible hair stylist
