my husband and i eat here at least twice a month. we used to live really close and would eat there once a week and now although we live 30 minutes away, we still eat here every chance we get. the burros are amazing and reasonably priced...it is so reasonably priced and we have never had anything but the best service there...even when we call to get take-out and we are less than 10 minutes away, they always have our food ready on our arrival. we also love the fact that they reward us for coming often...unlike other incentive cards where you have to get 15 or more stamps before you get a free meal, this smaller number of stamps(i think it is eight) allows them to be filled up with stamps often and redeemed for free meals. everyone i have ever introduced this restaurant to(friends, coworkers, family) not only love it, but frequent it often.

Pros: food, portion sizes, pricing, service

Cons: closed on sundays

I've been going to Pistol Pete's since it opened, and I love it. The food is so very tasty (love those chicken nachos with the puja salsa) and even when busy there is virtually no wait. Fast, delicious food at a fair price. The only problem at this point is that there is only one location. I used to live three blocks away, but now I have to drive 35 minutes to satisfy my Pete's fix (though it is definitely worth it). If it was up to me all of the Cafe Rio locations would be replaced with a Pistol Pete's, because with food like this, they deserve to be the talk of the town.

I wasn' t sure what to expect with "Bistro" in the name then walking through a standard line to order, but WOW! The food was awesome and the people friendly. I'm going back and I'm taking more people with me!

This restaurant is hard to spot but when you find it you'll never forget where it is again. When I first went there I really wasn't expecting much but I was astonished by the size of the portions. I got the fajitas and I can eat alot but I couldn't even finish half of the meal. Another thing too is that they give you plenty of tortillas, other places only give you three or so. The service is fast and friendly. The owner is there quite a bit and he wants to make sure your experience is wonderful. I'm recommending this place to all my friends.

Pros: fast service, nice enviroment

Cons: hard to spot

My favorite thing here is the fish taco. They have a different spin on the usual fish taco. Very spicy and very delicious!

Never have I had such miraculous food! I really could eat here every day! The portions are COLOSSAL!! The fish taco is one of my all time favorites, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE FISH.....my sister absolutely despises fish in all forms, but orders this almost every time we go. The service is "blazingly" fast, the hot-fresh food comes out before you have a chance to sit down, that's how fast they are! And those HOMEMADE tortillas, ooh boy, ooh boy! Nothing like them in the world. I also will shout from the mountain tops how incredibly delicious and savory the AL PASTOR (marinated pork - sweet) is on those NOGALES TACOS and SALADS. Shame on you if you haven't discovered PISTOL PETE'S, this restaurant is truly a "where have you been all my life" establishment!!

Pros: LOTS of seating, lots of choices, inexpensive

I think pistol petes has the best mexican food I've ever tasted, and I eat there atleast 4 times a week. The fish taco and the nagoles enchiladas are among my favorite. Mexican food I've eaten in the past has had somewhat of a bland taste to it, but this really doesn't at all. I highly recommend it!

Pros: Great service, Quality and Quantity, unique

Cons: hard to find location

I couldn't help but winder what kind of food i was going to get when i had to pay $9 for a fish burrito. i have to tell you that this is the best burrito or "burro ' that i have ever had. the portion on this thing was huge! I can eat alot of food and this thing filled me up. it must have been 8 or 9 inches long and atleast 2 or 3 thick. and the flavor of that spicey sauce that they use . wow i would sugesset this for great food at a great price

Pros: large food for cheap, fun atmosphere, very quick service

I have been a customer of Pistol Pete's since they opened. The food is great and the portions are more than generous for the price. I don't know what derektool is talking about. You can always go to another restaurant where you pay more to get almost half the amount of meat in your meal and you are charged an additional $.95 if you want an extra 2 oz. of sauce (estimated cost of about $.04). I guess you if you like paying high prices for rice, beans and sauce, Pistol Pete's isn't the place for you. If you like fresh Mexican food where EVERYTHING is made from scratch, with hearty portions, then this is the place where you want to be. Having frequented Pistol Pete's for as long as I have, I have gotten to know the retaurant and the people rather well.

Pros: Hearty Portions, Good Value, Quality

Cons: Location

Food: The chicken salads' chicken looks like it had just taken a swim in the local pond...and the 'tomatillo' (which the 'waitress' kindly asked about) dressing was a really bright green (all natural???). Service: the line took longer than it should have for the number of people that were there. The menu was hidden behind the fridge so you couldn't see it until you has to order, "at which point you felt rushed" (Rachie, 2005) Ambiance: Nice music, but were is the dance floor? "Also liked the chandeliers, and the view on the other wall...but why couldn't I have both?" (Kered, 2005). "And why are all the foods listed on the walls...that's kindof wierd" (Snazi, 2005). Value: "we could have gootten better food for that price" (TheEatingTeam, 2005).
