User Reviews for The Spa Club

Overall, I think the Spa Club is so-so. I had a haircut there, which is so-so. I felt I could've gotten the same haircut from some beauty schools, which would've been cheaper. The massages were pretty good. The massages are probably the only service that's worth of the money. I have pedicures there every 2 months or so. Most of the time, the pedicure was good. However, the last pedicure I had was a disaster. The girl painted my toe nails, and accidentally smeared the nail polish. Instead of removing the mess and re-painting that nail, she painted over and tried to cover up the mess. Yes, I confronted her, but no, she did not re-do it. I didn't want to make a scene over $18 pedicure, but I won't go back for the pedicure again. Actually, I won't renew my membership.

Pros: economy, clean and comfortable facility

Cons: Unperfessional nail staffs

The people at the Fort Union location are BEYOND rude. I spent a whole day there for a full pampering, which was a total waste of time, money and was not pampering at all! The massage was mediocre at best, rushed and cut short. My manicure was uneven and sloppy, and they rushed me to get my hair done before my nails were even dry. The HAIR! My word! I would be suprised if the girl who cut my hair even had a license. I brought a picture of the cut I currently had, that just needed a trim and reshaping. I ended up with 5 inches chopped off and bangs!! The stylist said she was sorry, and that my hair must "shrink up" when cut. ???? When my hair just got shorter and shorter, I asked for another stylist. They had to call someone in, while I waited for close to an hour. The whole time the girls at the front desk are complaining and being less than hospitable. The second stylist did make it look better when she finally got there, but it was the worst hair cut and hair experience I have ever had. It was completely different than what I asked for. Save your time, money and hair.... go somewhere else! You could probably cut your hair yourself and do a better job!

Pros: not one!

Cons: everything about this salon is a con

I have been to many spas all around the nation and by far The Spa Club was the best! All the employees made sure I was taken care of. They treated me so well. I got a massage, facial, pedicure, and hair cut ond colored. The stylist was fabulous, my hair was exactly the way I had imagined, not to mention the prices are unbeatable. I had come back another time and I signed up for the synergy treatments and they are amazing!!!

Cons: the only bad thing is that I will spend all my extra money pampering myself!

(I had an appointment for an hour and half deep tissue massage.) The massage would have passed for mediocre except that I had made an appointment for 90 minutes and the MT asked if I wanted the 80 minute. Okay no biggie, I thought maybe I had been wrong and they only offered 80 minutes. BUTT from the time she started to the time she asked me to get dressed the massage only lasted 43 minutes!! I definately didnt want to pay for a 90 minute massage that lasted 43 minutes. I left unsatisfied, to put it nicely...

I am not certain what exactly occurred with this visit, but this is NOT what we do at The Spa Clubs. Our Massage Therapists, I feel, are the best in the business so I am thinking there was a misunderstanding between what was booked and what the Massage Therapist performed. Please contact me, as I would like to remedy this situation. Michele / Owner / 801.255.3655

I am reading the reviews for The Spa Club, and I am here to tell you that I have been a member for years now. I get everything done there....waxing, hair, pedicures, manicures, massages and facials. I have NEVER had a bad experience. I love the place. You get services that are just as good if not better than other places, their employees are so accommodating and friendly and the prices are a lot less than every other place. Those reviews must have been written by disgruntled ex-employees, because I just don't get it. My family and I love The Spa Clubs....!

Pros: Great prices, superior service, friendly staff

Cons: none

Two absolutely horrible waxing experiences! For a regular bikini wax I was kept waiting 45 minutes after my appointment time. Then the technician had forgotten to heat the wax. Instead of offering to reschedule she turned the wax on for five minutes and attempted to wax my bikini line with lukewarm wax--incredibly painful and ineffective. She removed very little hair. When I requested she remove more she told me my appointment was taking too long (she'd kept me waiting for 50 minutes!) and more hair removal would cost an additional $15. Second visit for a brazilian. A different technician left clumps of hair after 45 minutes of waxing. The next day the waxed area was covered in bruises. I have been waxing my bikini line (regular and brazilian) for 10 years never received such terrible and painful treatment. This place is absolutely horrendous!

Pros: Customer Service, Skill of Technician

This spa is absolutely the worst I have ever been to! Thy have ruined my hair, my eyebrows and other precious places. I can't imagine how anyone would rave about this place--I'm sure all the reviews came from employees. I had to get my engagement pictures retaken because this spa did such a bad job on my hair. I have had skin removed and ugly scabs from the waxing. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! And don't get suckered by there membership deal--you will regret it, if you're still alive after they are done with you!

I just recently got Great Lengths hair extensions put in by Bryn Allred. They are just FABULOUS!! I had to have 7 bundles so it cost $1,400. This was very cheap compared to other extensionists and Bryn is highly recommended by Great Lengths themselves!! I went in for a free consultation and was able to put them in the very next day!! Because Bryn is so busy Great Lengths jumps at her beckon call!! We talked and watched movies throughout the six hours I was there. She even provided chocolate and a drink!! I really enjoyed my experience with the spa club. My extensions are totally worth every penny and my husband can't keep his hands off of me!!! Thanks Bryn!

Pros: comparatively cheap!, Great girls!, #1 extensionist!

I went in to get my roots touched up blonde with light brown low lights. My roots turned orange from not leaving the bleach on long enough, and the stylist actually did the highlights when my hair was WET. Needless to say it looked awful so they told me to come back the next day to get it fixed. Another stylist worked on it and when she was finished-OMG!! My hair was worse than before-YELLOW blonde and the so-called highlights were no where to be seen. It was so blonde and so yellow I looked like a clown.. I was so embarrased and when I left the salon people were staring at me..well my hair actually. I called the manager of THE SPA CLUB and explained the situation, she tried to say I should have come back in again and let a 3rd person work on my hair.
