To me there is no comparision to Tommies and Krispie Cremes. Tommies is 99% better. Wish there were more of them around.

  • Pros: Thumbs Up
  • Cons: not enough around

The donuts at Tommies are truly mouth watering. I can't speak for the Cake Donuts (since I only have SO MANY calories to allocate for donuts and the cake donuts never make it), but their standard glazed, Filled Apple-Carmel and some others are just excellent. I have seen a lot of places with much better reputations, that couldn't hold a candle to Tommies!

  • Pros: Surprisingly good donuts

The Scene
The only sign that this Conoco is not just your run-of-the-mill gas station is the neon one in the window advertising Tommie's doughnuts. If you've dropped in to buy a newspaper or pay for gas, the tempting bakery aromas may overwhelm your sense of willpower.

The Food
The display case holds trays of colorful doughnuts and sweet rolls, while dozens more are stacked on racks as they are made by machine throughout the day.
Many selections are embellished with decorations and colored glaze--dipped in icing and coated with nuts or sprinkles. With all the fancy toppings, one might think that Tommie's is insecure about its inner doughnut. Not to worry--the glazed are soft and spongy, the cake doughnuts are smooth and fresh tasting, and the puffy custard-filled cakes are creamy and rich.

Tommie's donuts are lousy. They are cluttered and heavy. The cream toppings are always crusted over and rarely fresh.

The donuts at Tommies not only taste better then Krispy Kremes but also the selection is twice as tempting and expansive. They are always dreaming up a new flavor like "The Samoa" or "Cookies -n- Creme". A great donut and a fun local company.

unlike other popular doughnuts in this valley, you don't have to buy Tommies hot or eat them within the first 30 minutes of purchase for them to have a fabulous taste!
