A beautiful hideaway serving Swiss-American cuisine mired in Old-World tradition.

The Scene
The alluringly intimate environment has romance written all over it. Most tables surround the river-rock fireplace. Walls are adorned with sage green, forest green and rust colored checkerboard patterns and a fabulous wine cellar trompe l'oiel mural. Pine timbers, wooden shutters and stunning alpine views finish off the setting.
The Food
The menu is rooted in Swiss-French traditions with American splashes. For appetizers, the wild mushroom feuilletage ($7.50) offers duxelles of chanterelle and morels in a puff pastry shell accented with a thyme veal reduction and concassé of tomatoes and mushrooms; an excellent melding of earthy flavors. For a twist, the roasted pheasant ($27.75) comes with red currants and blood oranges, served on braised Belgium endive. The Angus beef filet, foie gras and truffle sauce ($31.95) is decadent. An extensive wine list matches the elegance of the menu.
- Pros: very cozy
- Cons: expensive

The smoked salmon now tops my favorite foods of all time. We loved the view from outdoor patio and the intimate feel from the moment we stepped in. The wine list was also very impressive.
- Pros: wine list, service, great specials
- Cons: not open for lunch
disappointing :(

We had high expectations for what presents itself as a " high end" restaurant, and were sorely dissappointed. Parking was a challenge, but once we found the restaurant the atmosphere was quite charming, however the service (too patronizing) and food ( most disapointing of all) left much to be desired for the high prices of the meals.
- Pros: atmosphere, good wine list
- Cons: parking, over priced
