WAY over rated!! We expected a nice dinner in a nice atmosphere. We thought the facility was dated and unappealing and the food was worse. All four of us thought our meals were plain and unappealing and over priced. Wine glasses were dirty. It wasn't even worth complaining because they obviously are used to under performing. We will never go back. Park City and Deer Valley have lots of nice places to choose from. Why bother with this one?

Cons: The food.

An excellent restaurant up the mountain above Park City. The Stein Eriksen Lodge in which the restaurant is located, and the restaurant itself, are very attractive. The service could not have been better. The food was quite good, though a bit uneven (the short ribs were superb, the duck breast good but a bit small in serving size, and the desserts good but not great.) I noticed that Glitretind was marked as "No" re "Good for Kids." I have to disagree. We were there with my three-year old daughter, and there was no problem at all. The children's menu is good, and the staff were very accommodating. All in all, very much worth a stop.

How the mighty have fallen: from #1 to #4 (but, better than the Homestead #5). This buffet still has the best desserts (especially the chocolate decadence) of any buffet or bakery in the south west. The salads are all top notch. During ski-season (December to Easter) this buffet is more expensive: $39. Yes, $39 for ROAST TURKEY (the only item on the carving board). The best tasting hot entrees are the mashed potatoes, and the vegetables. The quality and quantity of the entrees has gone down. This is now a $20 buffet, for $39. R.I.P.

Pros: Desserts, Desserts, Salads

Cons: Way over-priced, carving board, Valet-parking ONLY

This place is amazing - the food is consistently excellent- and different. They have a different item I fall in love with every time - cantelope soup, mandarin chinese salad, Grand Marnier berry compote, etc. Their dessert chef is UNEQUALED!! Try the lemon tart on the dessert table - it will blow you away! The view, the mountain air, and the three piece jazz combo put this place over the top. I brought a Hollywood notable here once and she was equally impressed. This is the best place you could ever choose to celebrate a special occasion - We honeymooned here!

Pros: Great Food, Jazz Combo, Lemon Desserts

We've been here for holiday brunches as well as dinner (good but not my favorite time to go). This place is a treat for holiday brunches- they put out a nice spread. The salads, smoked salmon, fruits & cheeses, entrees are attractive and tasty. They also have the standard carved roast beef and omelette station. My personal favorite part of the whole brunch is the dessert table. I'm a sucker for their displays made of spun sugar and other sweet confections. This is the place to splurge.

Cons: Pricey!

To trek all the way to this lodge, you'd have thought there'd be more to offer -- after reading Rainey's review, we were disappointed to find overpriced wines (and no sommelier in sight), lackluster food, and an oblivious staff. When we asked to speak to the manager, our waiter said, plainly, "why?" Ribs were oversauced, drinks took so long to arrive we'd lost our desire for them. The setting IS beautiful -- but that dissappears when the sun goes down, when you'd better like your chintz.

Pros: nice atmosphere, glitzy

Cons: far from town, expensive, slow
