I am totally bummed! I've gone to this place for years and have always raved about their flowers, but after my latest experience, I will not be going back. My father asked me to be in charge of purchasing a nice bouquet from my family for my uncle's funeral. He also suggested I use a florist recommended by his friend who also happens to be the owner of the mortuary/funeral home. I told him I'd instead go with Flowers on Vine because they make beautiful bouquets and have outsanding service. I ordered flowers on a Friday for the viewing on Sunday. The viewing was from 6-8 p.m. and the flowers didn't arrive until 7:30! The funeral director told me that I should demand a refund since this is the norm in compensation under the circumstances. I admit the bouquet was beautiful, but when you spend over $100 on flowers, they should be delivered on time! When I called the shop the next day, the owner answered, asked me hold, and then proceeded to carry on a personal conversation on another phone for several minutes (I heard every word). When she finished I explained the situation. She said she was sorry and that she had asked a family member to drop them off! She asked what she could to to make up for it and I told her what the funeral director suggested. However, I also told her since I've gone to her place for years and normally love the service, a total refund seemed excessive and that I would be happy with 50%. I also explained that the other members of my family who contributed to the bouquet were upset, but if we could get a refund, we'd donate it to my uncle's chosen charity and forget about the late delivery. The owner said she'd give me $20. Again, I paid $114. She then tried to explain that I should be glad they were there on Sunday at all since they don't normally deliver that day. She also said she'd lose money if she gave me anything more. Well, she's lost the future business of 8 paying customers.
