Wow, what a gorgeous restaurant with amazing food! You're greeted by the friendliest staff I've ever experienced in a restaurant as soon as you walk in the door.

I came into Tuscany with several buddies after a hard day on the slopes at Snowbird. We had made a reservation earlier in the day and arrived early not realizing the restaurant was such a close distance to Little Cottonwood Canyon. We started with drinks in the bar and were treated like old friends by the bartender. She made it a hard decision to leave and go to our table because she was so friendly, but alas we are all married. The manager took us to our table by a huge rock fireplace and I wondered if we were actually in Florence, Italy or Salt Lake City. We ordered some appetizers and found the carpaccio to be perfectly rare and the fried calamari to be best we've had. It came with fried shrimp and green beans and was topped with a red pepper aioli that gave it a real zip! Our server recommended the Chicken Scallopini and a bunch of us opted for that and the juicy New York steak special. Both dishes satisfied our craving for Italian fare and beat out any steak we've tried coast to coast. The service was very attentive and quick considering the place was packed with hungry skiers and their families. A few of us had room left for dessert and got the fried bananas with homemade banana ice cream and the house specialty banana cream pie. I would recommend this restaurant for both its outstanding service and food that pleases both Italian food lovers and All-American palates.
Pros: Close to Skiing

Great food the salmon was divine. Great atmosphere, quiet and romantic lighting, a little pricey but well worth it. A heart shaped triple chocolate cake with fresh rasberries was best dessert I ever had. Service was very efficient and kind our waitress was very helpful in reccommending the best choices on the menu and did not lead us astray.

When they only thing you can find to recommend a "fine dining" establishment is the appetizer pizza, that's pretty sad. Ok. The setting is beautiful. The service was horrible -- it took 20 minutes every time to get our server's attention. And the main courses were atrocious. Maybe it was our fault for ordering beef and pork instead of pasta. They were just not good. They tasted bad. My husband and I are both very open minded when it comes to food but there was simply nothing to recommend this restaurant. There are enough other fine dining places in SLC that are good to excellent (Tiburon, LaCaille, Snake River, etc). We won't be going back and wasting our money at Tuscany.
Pros: Pretty setting
Cons: Food, service

I made reservations for February 11th, so that my wife and I wouldn't have to be crammed in with a million other couples on Valentine's Day. We were seated at a small table at the edge of an entryway, and I sat between two rooms. I could hear conversations from both rooms and they drowned out my wife's voice. After waiting for 15 minutes without any service we left. We were met with a cold reception, and felt that our money wasn't good enough. The place was half empty, but no one bothered to let us know they were backed up or someone was going to help us eventually. The only person that was nice was the valet, a 16 year old kid who probably only made minimum wage.

This by far the best restaurent i have been for special occasions. i have been to Ruth chris and le caille all of the sucked. If you are looking for perfect dinner with your wife, friend or family this is the place to go. It's little pricy but its worth it as compared to Ruth Chris and La Caille. Sometimes the place may get little noisy but request for a quiter place, they will definetly accomodate your request. Me and wife are regulars here after trying so many places we decided this to be our special dinner spot. Don't forget to call ahead. They also opend a French restaurnet adjacent to Tuscany. Havent tried yet will put my comments once i dine there. Planning to go there this vallentine day. My personal favourite is the Pork chops and salamon
Pros: Good ambience, nice food
Cons: Sometimes its too loud.

We decided to go to Tuscany for Thanksgiving dinner but it was a disaster. The service was fine but the meal was terrible. We got just a couple scraps of Turkey and a slice of ham and the rest was stuffing, mashed potatoes (I think it was potatoes – they sucked) and squash. The stuffing was horrible. We have always had good food at Tuscany but Thanksgiving was a total disaster for quality of the food. Way overpriced for the quality. Will not do that again.

We had our wedding at Tuscany on 9/29/07 and it was wonderful. The setting is very romantic and pretty. The service was very good and the wait staff were attentive and friendly. The food was okay. We had a choice of pork, salmon and chicken. The pork was the best by far. The chicken and fish were a little bland. We had a nice salad and nice chocolate cake as well. All in all we liked it. But, there are some "hidden" fees that were not really explained to us. There is a $300 wedding fee in addition to the rental of the room. Also, I thought that the events coordinator was a little snotty and off putting. Also, when I got the bill there was an overcharge of $300. So, watch the bill. Overall it was a good experience and I am glad that I choose Tuscany but there were some small hiccups here and there (i.e., the turned on the background music in the middle of our ceremony and we had to send someone to turn it off!!!). I still recommend it but it was not a flawless experience!

One year ago I came here for our dinner for Homecoming for Brighton High School. It was a group of 20 that I was in. We had made reservations and were given a smaller menu beforehand to choose what we wanted to eat and a set price per couple. We ended up being seated in some basement room far away from anybody else or the elegance of the restaurant. The service was good. The food was not near the quality it should have been considering the amount we paid. And within the next few days, many member of our group that had ordered a certain dish got sick from it. This should never happen from a restaurant as nice and as well-reputed as this one. Then, when it came time to pay, they told us that we had to pay about $5 more than what we were told we would pay by the manager. Even when we told the waitress this, she shot us down and said her price was right. Later, I found out that the didn't even charge everybody the same amount. I was charged the original price, while most of my friends had to pay the higher price. I will never come here again and do not recommend it.
Pros: Service was ok.
Cons: Everything else.

Tuscany appears to be cutting corners as evidenced by the wilted brown salad, dirty glasses and flies. Fine dining and flies do not mix and neither did the flavors of the food. Lunch was costly but for fine food we are willing to pay. Unfortunately, the several billboards around the valley touting Tuscany as an unforgettable experience are true. I will never forget the brown, slimy, wilted salad and the stale brushetta appetizers which tasted day old. Main courses were tastless and the pasta with wine reduction was acidic and biting. The Venetian beef red wine sauce was tart and was not complimented by the Gorganzola Polenta. The most disturbing part of the meal were the several flies which enjoyed our bread and appetizers more than we did. Fine dining is an art and Tuscany is still using crayons. The food was bad, the service was slow and inattentive. The vegetables tasted old including the tomatos which are in season. My house salad was the worst resembling something from a fast food dive. Owner Mark Eaton was a defensive specialist on the court, but his food was offensive and scored no points. His ads are correct unforgettable and very regrettable.
Pros: Nice location
Cons: bad food
