Great running track but NO hot water in showers. Ice rink is great but not very clean.

Great running track but NO hot water in showers. (Come on! Its 6 degrees outside. Who can take an ice cold shower!) Ice rink is great but the whole center is not very clean. The track is crowded on Saturday mornings and the rink is really crowded in the weekend afternoons. great prices though
This brand new facility saw 10 days of speed skating in 2002.

The Scene
Speed skaters competed on a 400m course in the Oquirrh Park speed-skating Oval. The skaters hit speeds of up to 26mph and skate at up to 50-degree slants.
The Skinny
With courses ranging in length from 500 to 10,000 meters, speed skating is a test of speed and endurance. And, with the introduction of the new Klap Skate and its hinged blades, top possible speeds are faster than ever. The Olympic Oval is open for public skating and offers ice-skating lessons for novices. Experienced skaters can participate in speed-skating classes. Call the office for schedules and information.
