I know this is not a discussion forum, but I haven?t found closure.I take great offense at everyone that seems to have this "my daughter is a cry-baby" attitude.My daughter grew up around haunted houses and has never had an experience such as the one she had at "Nightmare on 13th."The bellhop tore into her like a drill sergeant with a new recruit, telling her that he'd show her what Hell was and that he'd been through worse than any of us ever had been and I think he was high or drunk..As for us being "uptight parents," as one of the reviews quoted, nothing could be farther from the truth.I?m a very lenient, tattooed, pierced witch.Put that in your pipe and smoke it boys!The man we complained to was probably a security guard sent to pacify us.And they were too terrified and unprofessional enough to return phone calls or email.A refund would have been nice.Why is everyone demonizing my child when she is the victim?

Sounds like someone couldn't afford the price of the attraction in the first place and is looking for a cheap way to get their money back. (i.e a refund would have been nice.)

I guess the job market and payscale must not be very good for tattooed, pierced witches.

We were yelled at by an employee last night because we were 5-10 feet behind the group in front of us.

I'm sorry that I paid for the experience you advertise. Next time I will know that you could care less about your customers and just care about the customer count. Maybe you should go through your own haunted house.

Few Scares, too much emphasis on FX

As a veteran "Haunter," I've planned, executed, and acted in haunted attractions. The Nightmare on 13th is probably the lowest on my list. The price did NOT justify the scare level (which was advertised as having national rankings) and you exited feeling rather shorted. Granted, the special effects are some of the most impressive I've ever seen (including the best pre-show, which would have been much better as an end show), robotic actors simply aren't able to customize the scare experience for each group. There were far too few live actors and those they had were subpar on their energy levels and kept getting out of character. My harshest criticism would be the management of the lines. Yes, they were able to move people through quickly, but because of this, it became just a perpetual line throughout the haunted house with virtually no space between groups. The few scares they had were ruined because everyone could see and hear what was coming up.

For young kids, this is a great Haunted House, and they would appreciate it alot more. For those who actually wanted to be scared, it was very much a let down.

• Cons: Low actor energy, too few actors, price

Well trained personnel make a great difference!

II've been to haunted houses where the actors grab you. This one doesn't. Their actors have been trained to be scary but with hands off. That is a plus! They have set it up to be fantastically entertaining but also you feel it is a safe environment for your family. The dynamics that have been put into this is amazing! Have never seen any haunted house so well planned! It is a great show from outside by the line! If you want a great time for any family or group.... THIS IS IT!! Even going by yourself is a fun experience where everyone is relating to the same experience! Don't miss it! This is the best year yet and we have gone every year for the past 20 years. These guys are professionalism at its best!!!!

• Pros: None of the actors touch you.... that is cool!
• Cons: None. Fantastic show!

Wow! Got our moneys worth and MORE!

We have taken our family to this entertainment spot of Utah for almost 20 years! We start looking forward to going months in advance! These guys must work all year to be able to put on such a great show! Great entertainment! Our neighborhood has become a neighborhood of Nightmare on 13th fans! If you are big ole wimps..... go anyway..... you need to go and have the wimpiness scared out of you!! Besides, everybody likes a good scare at Halloween, right?

• Pros: I heard this is rated the best haunted house in the U.S.
• Cons: Drawbacks? Are you kidding?

Rated #1 in AMERICA!

This is THE best haunted house i have ever been to hands down! We got in fast and the entertainment was sooo sweet! we first walked through this room selling t-shirts, they are legit...so i had to buy one, it was only 15 bucks! and then we went into the theatre and oh my gosh this has changed so much from last year and years past, it is probably the best i've ever seen it this year! The spinning room is a classic that i completely LOVE, and now they have new surprises around literally every corner, and the actors were dusgusting and crazy! wow. The haunted house itself was AMAZING to say the least! The 20th season is this year and the changes they made are incredible! A TON of work was put in this year and it definitely shows! I got so scared i think i peed my pants a little bit! haha and right as soon as i thought i was done, the Xtreme came up! oh man, the XTREME! the title says it all! i wasn't going to do it because in years past it's been pretty lame and i didn't like it all that much...but oh my gosh! this year holy renovation! it's only 5 bucks more and wow was it worth it this year! they changes i would say over half of it! sooo intense! i didn't even recognize it as the xtreme it's so changed! wow, there's a maze that the floor moves, and the MAGGOT room is psycho! Holy Amazing! so i give this haunted house 5 stars, if i could i would give it 10! it's just that good! I would definitely say there was a reason it was rated #1 in America! So go here and you for sure won't be disappointed, make sure to get the xtreme, you won't regret it! I LOVE NIGHTMARE ON 13TH!!!

Great Show!!!

This show was fantasitic!! I went with my wife and a few other couples friends and we all had a blast!! We have gone to shows each year all over the state and this is one of our favorites!! We will definitely be going again!! Thanks you guys!!!

My husband and I along with my son and his 6 friends visited this hunted house over the weekend, and we ALL had a wonderful time. It was exciting to see my teenage son get spooked, and all the way home, him and his friends were commenting on how much fun they all had. It takes a lot to keep 7 teenage boys happy, and mine sure were. Can't wait to go again.

I have been to haunted houses all of my life and this one continues to be the best, year after year. I just dont understand how anyone could think this experience is anything but terrifyingly fun.

I disagree with the negative comments on this site. This place ROCKS! Anyone who cannot appreciate how good this is must be blind or have some kind of personal agenda. From the opening in the Terror Theatre to the Extreme Scare the scares never stop. The actors just keep it coming. If you don't like to be scared let me recommend a Corn Maze but for those who are looking for what a Haunted House should be this is it.

• Pros: Cannot beat this Scare......Awesome
• Cons: Parking is tough on weekends but worth it.
