It's where local Chinese eat

Look around. Large round tables of Chinese speaking families, business men and every-day Chinese folks routinely go there for their evening meal. There is nothing in the valley that comes close to the authenticity of the "old country." The waiters and cashiers even have a hard time with English. How great is that! I have taken out-of-towners, who have lived in Hong Kong for years, besides traveling extensively on the mainland, who have exclaimed the absolute faithfullness of the taste and preparation of the dishes according to their origin. I like it, sure, but if they, the local average Chinese-American themselves buy a season pass, well... The Sizzling Curry Chicken alone will spoil your taste buds against substitute wannabes anywhere else.

While looking at the Golden Wok is not the most aesthetically pleasing thing to do, eating their food is quite wonderful! Their appetizers are good, the dishes are great. They have many vegetarian dishes, some with tofu, but they also have lots of meat dishes as well.

The Golden Wok also offers "Golden Wok Bucks." If you pay in cash, they will give you 1 golden wok buck for every $10 spent. So it pays to use cash.
