Must See Denice!!
by trlwest at Citysearch
This girl is amazing! I was very discouraged with my lifeless hair and color. She tuned into my concerns and needs and gave me the best look I have ever had! She truly cares and goes the extra mile. Even though the salon isn't close for me, it's definitely worth the drive to see her!!!

Shane is the best in town!
by crow8 at Citysearch
I have been going to Shane at Salon NV for a while now and absolutely love what he has done with my hair. He consults with you on what you are looking for and takes it to the next level of perfection! I have always worn my hair extremely short but couldn't find anyone that could give me a cut that looked good grown out. Shane makes you feel comfortable and makes you look like a rock star/celebrity. I have never been happier with my hair. Thank you Shane! Truly an artist!
- Pros: Quality, Professional, Hilarious
- Cons: NONE
hmmmm

I hate to write a bad review, Im not that type of person, but I feel like I got duped out of 600 bucks and I have been crying for three days over this. I got hair extensions 8 days ago and they are already falling out, there are clumps of hair all over my house. Not only that you can see the wefts of hair coming through all over the place. That upsets me because I specifically asked her if that would happen and if it would, Id just get a hair cut instead, and she said they wouldnt. The braids they are sewn to have slipped (and vey crookedly) down at least an inch in some places, and completely out on one row. The "hand tied" hair I paid almost 300 bucks for is unravelling all over the place, large peices of it fall out all the time, and threads from it, and the thread that was used to sew them in stick straight out of the back of my head and are visible. They looked good for exactly two days. I was given no instruction on how to care for them, I asked several questions regarding care and was told only the two following things "use a heat protector, and be careful combing them". After washing them, they looked like a horse tail, and I was laughed at (literally) by two girls in a store. I wasnt told to use special products which I have since discovered is a neccessity, nor the other long list of things you must do to keep them looking normal. I just figured out how to care for them, courtesy of a hair forum, and now they are FALLING OUT! I paid 600 bucks to wear hats on my head for a week! Of the three rows only one is still completely intact. I had a consult where none of my questions were really adressed, that should have clued me in. The stylist seemed more concerned with getting paid, than with answering any questions. The place also had the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Its like they managed to find all the rude girls from high school and employ them in one place. Youd be better off buying clip on hair, you would be happier!
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: I'm a hater... I hate all salons and you cant make me happy.
Camille does the Best Hair Ever
by Laura72 at Citysearch
Camille has been doing my hair for years. I followed her from Salt Lake to Park City and back to Salt Lake. I would be a mess without her. She is one of those stylist you find for life. She knows what you like and is flawless in her execution. Give her a try, she is simply the best
- Pros: talented, experienced and friendly
HAILYN is the BEST!!!
by jakennar at Citysearch
I called and made an emergency haircut appointment because the one I got the day before didn't work out the way it was excpected to work out. Let's just say I was too embarrased to go to work. Haylin met me at NV Salon and she fixed my hair and it was so wonderful. She was so comfortable to sit with and when she was done I wanted to go out and shout to the world for everyone to go see Haylin! She really saved me that day and I will always owe her! Thanks Haylin!
Seriously Talented
by ladylion at Citysearch
It is indeed rare that you find someone who can cut hair well and do great color. Shane is the best!! After going to lots of hairdressers who do one or the other just so, so, it is fabulous to find someone who is talented and skilled at both.
Check Shane out -- he is at Salon NV in the heart of downtown SLC and there's available free parking right next to the salon. Outstanding!!
- Pros: Considers your preferences and makes them even better.
- Cons: Not in my neighborhood, but so worth the extra 10 minutes.
Best Stylist in Salt Lake
by mellowyellow1 at Citysearch
I was so amazed to find a hair stylist who is skilled as well as creatively intuitive in both color and cut. Shane Perryman has recently relocated from Denver to the Salt Lake area at Salon NV. I highly recommend him to anyone who really is looking for a stylist to trust and completely enjoy.
Shane works quickly and expertly -- no shortcuts as he creates great looking, healthy hair. He makes you feel like you are his favorite client. Look better than you ever have looked.
- Pros: Superb color and best cut ever!
- Cons: None!
Fantastic Hair!!!!
by bizzylizzie at Citysearch
I found this salon on the fabulous CitySearch about 4 months ago and i was looking for someone to color/cut my hair that was not only professional but really understood what i wanted.
Shane Perryman is the stylist i found at Salon NV and he is truely talented, my color lasted months and my haircuts have been perfect ( im one of those girls that is totally OCD about my haircuts and color) Ive recommended him to coworkers and family. I will go no where else!!!
Salon NV also has a fun enviroment and just the nicest people, not stuck up like other salons in this town. Down to earth and most definately knowlageable of todays hairstyles and coloring!
CHECK IT OUT!
- Pros: Best Hair Artist that ever been in slc -Shane Perryman
- Cons: no as close to my house as id like but worth the drive
not the place i want to get my hair done again
by dinanicole at Citysearch
i was stoked about this place after reading all of the rave reviews. sadly, my experience fell way short.
my stylist took over an hour to cut my hair - i have short hair and i love my short hair, but she just kept chopping and chopping. when i got home and took a closer look it was clear that the stylist kept chopping because she didn't know what she was doing - NOTHING is even where it should be- the sideburns are unever, the line above the ears is uneven - the bangs are cut in a way that's not malleable to proper styling.
a friend described it to me as "man's haircut number 2" - meaning the most generic thing on the block.
i feel horrible writing this review only because the stylist was as sweet as pie - as a person, she seemed great, as a stylist, she needs a lot more practice.
- Pros: the staff is really nice
SHELLY IS THE BEST!

I RANDOMLY TRIED THIS PLACE. I WAS GONNA JUST GET A CUT BUT SHELLY THOUGHT I SHOULD TRY A COLOR AS WELL AND IT WAS GREAT! REALLY SURPRISED AT HOW MUCH I LIKE IT AND HOW COOL IT MAKES MY HAIR FEEL. I'LL BE BACK THANKS SHELLY!
- Pros: BEST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE!
- Cons: NO CONS HERE
