Randee is more then a haircut, she is an 'experiance'. She is so wonderful at doing my hair, but it is so much more...I love her! Randee is intellegent, spiritual, non-judgemental, kind, and an amazing soul. It is worth the wait, I sign up for my next appointment every 4 to 5 weeks, because I want to be sure I get the best each time. Soon, you too will not want to have anyone else touch your hair. Thank you Randee!

Pros: atmosphere is relaxing, great short hair and medium length, parking okay

Cons: No bike stand out front...a must.

I have been told that I have high standards and expect a lot from people around me. When told this, I don't think it was meant as a compliment either, ( someone was telling me I was a pain in the behind basically! lol) Anyway, I have to say that this is true when I have to give someone a lot of money, like to a hair stylist for a cut and highlighting. I was tired of the not-so-great cut and really lousy hair coloring I was getting from my stylist here in Ogden and tried to find someone with a good reputation to go to instead. I found Shelly and Salon NV here on Citysearch and thought I'd give her a try. I am very glad I did. She did a great, great job with the color AND the style. She listened to what I had to say and she showed me hair color samples and she made sure we were on the same page as far as what I wanted. Afterward she even did some make-up on me, gave me a facial kit and even a hug before I went out the door. Very nice touch. This all demonstrates something that is very important in a stylist. Professionalism. The woman gets it. She wants to do a good job, she wants to earn your business and keep it through delivering quality. I am actually looking forward to paying more frequent visits to a stylist for the first time cause I like the results I get. I don't mind the 40 mile drive to go to Shelly/Salon NV either. It is worth it.

Pros: easy parking, good downtown location, friendly staff, hot tea

Cons: far from Ogden, but that is MY problem

Had Heather as my stylist after having her recommended for short hair cuts. Seeing other photos of cuts she has done, she seems to be very talented, and I came to her with an unusual request, so I chalk the whole experience up to just not working out. I brought in a set of photos of exactly what I wanted, and in the end it was far too short, my hair was ruined from extensive bleaching that never needed to happen and the cut looked nothing like what I wanted. The first time around, the color was absolutely nothing like what I had requested either. To her credit, though, she is -very- professional, and did everything she could after the fact to fix the botched color without charging extra, and it ended up growing out into a nice hair style. If you are particularly picky with your hair, however, I would go elsewhere. Ended up paying $160 for a mediocre hair cut and a bleach/dye job that has taken four months to recover from.

Pros: Good parking, beautiful salon

Cons: Recieved lackluster service and end product was nothing like I had asked

Denice was a fabulous stylist. She did extensions on me. She has extensive experience in doing extensions, and she paid attention to detail. She listened to my concerns (I was afraid it would look very unnatural), she answered all of my questions. I got 18 inch extensions which were perfect -- she knew exactly what I was going for. She blended my hair in to the extensions, so it flows very nicely. She matched the color of my hair perfectly with the color of the extensions. The quote she gave me was very accurate. She narrated every step of the process and didn't leave me hanging. I love how it looks. It's exactly what I hoped for. She also provides a free conditioner and shampoo plus a brush and instructions on how to maintain and care for the hair with the price of the service. She was very professional. I'll definitely choose her again if I ever get extensions. Go with her if you are skeptical. She was exactly what I wanted.

Pros: Very convenient environment, very friendly staff.

I have been struggling in finding not only a competent hair dresser, but one that listens to what you want for over 5 years. I found Salon NV by the review on CitySearch and thought I would give it a try. I have tried several salons trying to find someone that would highlight my hair the way I asked. I have had it severely damaged, colors I did not want or ask for, more blonde than I wanted. darker with no highlights and big chunky highlights all of which I hated. Getting my hair done was starting to be a scary adventure since I never knew what the outcome would be. Then…. I went to Shelly at Salon NV. She took her time looking at my hair (which resembled a very colorful quilt). I explained that I wanted a natural looking weave with Gold, Carmel and strawberry blonde. For the first time in approximately 5 years… I got what I asked for! The colors are beautiful, blended and very natural looking. She was able to fix most of what was done… and my hair feels wonderful … NO DAMAGE. Needless to say… Shelly is my new hero (heroine) and I am so thankful I went to her. For the first time in a long time, I came home and loved my hair. Now everything seems to be going right!! My whole attitude has changed since I feel my hair looks good! Not only was Shelly delightful, the whole salon was great, from the receptionist to everyone that works there. Friendly, stylish and comfortable. I have finally found my salon and will be enjoying from now on! The whole experience was wonderful. I can’t say enough about how pleased I am! Marijo

Tanya is great (so are others at the salon). Tanya always does the best color--it looks natural, grows out well and she always makes certain the color fits with your natural color and skin tone. Her cuts are fabulous. She listens to what you want and then makes appropriate recommendations taking into consideration one's lifestyle and your hair texture & condition. She provides professional, polished service--not overly trendy! She keeps up on the latest techniques and styles through training and continuous education. She's always on time, too--you're never left waiting for an extra half hour, etc. The salon has the best products around--many are not sold anywhere else in Utah. No one oversells you on products or service at the salon. Everyone else is great too.

Pros: Easy Parking, Great service from everyone at the salon and the salon carries great, unique product lines!

Cons: None!

I just recently moved from NY to SLC and came to Salon NV on the recommendation of a friend. I was a bit nervous finding a new stylist - but I completely lucked out on my first try. The salon is very hip and clean, with a welcoming atmosphere. My stylist, Shelly, is fabulous and a total perfectionist. She's also always willing to try new things and goes the extra mile for all of her clients. Salon NV is highly recommended.

I was planning on getting married and wanted extensions put in for my bridals and wedding day. Denise at Salon NV had the best service and prices around, and even though I live in Provo, the drive is totally worth it. I now go to her for regular haircuts and hair color. I have never been disappointed in the service. The prices are a little higher than I am used to, but still definitely worth it!

Salon NV is the nicect salon I have ever visited. There warm service and educated stylists are all top notch. They are very friendly and so is the cozy atmoshere. I had a consultation about fixing my color and the stylist listened and asked questions to really understand what I was trying to describe. She did exactly what I wanted. I have recently had a pedicure upstairs. oh my god! I was in heaven. Salon Nv rocks! I strongly reccomend Salon NV for gorgeous color, highlights and great mens haircuts.

In the past, I was always searching for a satisfactory haircut. I am very picky and could never get a haircut that I wouldn't have to go home and take scissors to myself. Because of this, I had never been to the same stylist more than once. The first time that Shelly at Salon NV cut my hair I knew that I could finally quit searching for a great stylist. She is fabulous!! I am always so happy with my hair that I can't quit looking at it or touching it for days. On one occasion I had a cold and I started coughing. I was coughing so hard that I had to go into the rest room. When I came out Shelly had a hot cup of tea with honey waiting for me. She really went above and beyond my expections. Shelly has been cutting my hair now for a couple of years and I'm still happy every time that I leave the salon.

Pros: Free parking, very comfortable atmosphere
