This place use to serve the best pho but after they remodeled, I am not sure what happened. The broth is not the same, they don't give you all the fixings they use to, and the prices went up, want great pho? go to Pho Saigon. It's the best.

Pros: Nice and clean, remodeled about 2 years ago

Cons: bad service, the main dish (Pho) is a flop

Im a very picky eater and away from home I was craving for something very asian. I fell in love with their egg rolls, a must when I go with Thai iced tea the perfect blend. Food are very tasty and hot when served. Price are reasonable with the big portion of meal that came with a good service. I guess they have remodel the place, very clean and nice environment. I was spoiled by this restaurant and I wont even try other. I hope all will enjoy the food as much as I do.

Pros: Best Vietnamese/Chinese food

Cons: Limited parking

Not much of a wait every time we go. SErvice is good. Food is great. The potstickers are terrific - the dough is not too thick and they seem fairly fresh. I almost always go for the Salt Baked Shrimp - like the rest of these reviewers - so good. Some of the "Chinese menu" options aren't amazing. I'm sure I ordered a chicken lo mein or something once that was barely average - not much flavor and pretty greasy, but I guess that's sort of standard for that dish....

Pros: Great food

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food there is great, I can't recommend it more. It has a good variety of Vietnamese dishes as well as Chinese dishes so there is something for everyone. Be sure to try their egg rolls, they're the best I've ever had!

Pros: The food is terrific

Cons: Parking is limited

When I worked for Salt Lake County, I ate here at least once a week. The seafood soup, the spring roll, and all the fabulous tofu and shrimp dishes I had were delicious, and prepared with such a wonderful light complexity of flavors. I never had a bad meal here, and the wait and cook staff were so incredible! Amazingly nice, so polite, price was fabulous, man, I miss this place! MMMmmmmm!

Pros: Tossup between food and service

Cons: looks like not much, but who cares? More to those in the know!

I wasn't originally a Vietnamese food fan, until I ate here. We've been going to Mi La Cai since it opened over a dozen years ago-back when it was a hollowed out Taco Bell with no bathroom and a minimum credit card purchase of $15.00. The food is incredible-make sure to try both the egg rolls and the spring rolls. My hands down favorite dish is the Spicy Lemongrass Chili Chicken, followed closely by the salted baked shrimp. Make sure to order their lemon ice tea as well. The service has always been perfect and I think the ambiance is wonderful. I am so addicted that when I lived 4,000 miles away, I made visitors bring Mi La Cai on ice so I could have their food. Luckily, I'm back within range. I know that others feel the same way as I waited for take out the other night and spoke to a man who braved rush hour traffic from Draper because his wife is pregnant and said she'd only eat Mi La Cai.

Pros: Best food for great price

Cons: Only that it is next to an Autozone

This restaurant may not look nice from the outside, but once inside you'll be amazed, excellent service, excellent food, served hot, with flavour that you remember, not expensive, good service. The best Pan fried Noodles I have tried in a long time.

This is the best Viet food in Salt Lake, barnone. So good I come all the time. The atmosphere is very cozy and friendly. Their Pho is pretty good because they don't put all this stuff that's not supposed to be in Pho in there. You should come, take your friends, family, loved ones...

Pros: they have some of the best noodles, oh and they have beer now... Viet beer to if anyone wants to try

Cons: not enough stuff on the menu!!!

I have to say, I love this restaurant, I loved their egg rolls, thai tea and so on. Who ever haven't tried it, should try it soon, because you'll miss the best part of enjoying what's a real good food is.

Pros: I love chicken on stick but they don't have it anymore, they should put it back on the menu

Cons: need more lights at night in the restaurant

Editor's Review

The exterior of this noodle house reveals its Mexican roots, but the authentic Asian cuisine proves looks can be deceiving.  See the full editorial review.
