What users are saying:
Nice, but not real Chicago-style deep-dish, good ingredients, better than average Utah pizza
by playoffwatcher at Citysearch
I am from Chicago, the deep dish pizza from Connie's is not. Still a nice deep dish for what I have found here. I believe it is better than average for the local fair, but it is not authentic Chicago style. The Italian Beef sandwiches are also tasty, but different from their Chicago counterparts. I have not tried their thin crust.
- Pros: Good ingredients, good tasting, nice cheese
- Cons: NOT real Chicago-style
Tremendous

WOW! when I opened the pizza box and saw what was inside it was like no other pizza I have seen. It was a true deep dish, over flowing with quality stuff. It didn't take much to fill me up compared to non deep dish pizzas. It was a pleasant surprise. Connie's is one I will continue to go back to. It really is good!.
- Pros: Quality Ingredients, Hot delivery, Very Filling
Yes, you can get real Chicago-style deep-dish pizza right here in Salt Lake City.

The Scene
It's takeout or delivery only, so set a nice table at home or head for your favorite picnic spot.
The Food
The crust makes a Chicago pizza different--it's thick and more reminiscent of pie pastry than regular pizza dough. Toppings are pretty much the same as everywhere else, though. Connie's pies are smaller in diameter than other pizza joints, but they make up for it in the sheer weight and depth of each slice. And, yes, thin-crust pizzas are also available. The Chicago Jazzed is a fine deep-dish choice--with sausage, onion, mushrooms and green pepper. Non-pizza fans might choose an Italian beef sandwich. Start off with the spinach dip and pizza chips, throw in a salad and you're all set.
Chicago Pizza at it's Best

I lived in Chicago for some time and this is the real thing here in SLC! If you want pizza that has great taste and hasn't been skimped on when putting the ingredients on, then try Connie's on 2300 E.!!! They will even deliver when I can't stop by on my way home! They even make the regular crust pizza if someone in your family prefers that over the Chicago Style. I like both types as long as it is made and tastes as well as Connie's makes theirs! The staff there is also wonderful, they aren't trying to rush you off when you place your order. I have NEVER had an order that was not exactly what I ordered either! That is an accomplishment anymore!
- Pros: Delicious, Lots of Toppings, Economical

Connie's Pizza is pretty ok. The service was not very friendly and the pizza was $19.00 for a 14 in. It was WAY too expensive....the pizza was decent. It needed some more sauce. I won't be back because I can find a comparable pizza for MUCH cheaper.
- Pros: Chicago Style
- Cons: Expensive
Connie's Pizza Rules

Connie's pizza is some of the best pizza I have ever had!!! We should feel privileged to have the ONLY Connie's pizza outside of Chicago right here in SLC. Nothing beats a slice of Connie's fresh Chicago Jazzed pizza! When I first tried Connie's I was a little shocked at the price of a pizza, but now I understand...One of Connie's pizzas is like two of any other pizza. Here's some proof, my boyfriend eats an entire large pizza from Papa Johns, Little Ceasers, etc. he can't even finish 1/2 of a Connie's pizza!
- Pros: Filling, Great for parties, Office lunch
- Cons: Need more locations
Unbelievable ?

Connies Pizza is the most expensive, over rated, smallest pizza for the money I have ever eaten. I couldn't believe how small they were the first time I ordered. I thought they had made a mistake and delivered a small instead of a large. I had to try it a second time. They have the smallest, most overpriced pizza on the planet. So be prepared to be unpleasantly surprised.
