Great artists and people!

by goinwitaflow at Citysearch

What a great place with fantastic people!! From the first time I walked in I was greated with a professional, but friendly attitude from everyone in the shop. I could see Doc's experience in tattooing with everything he did and said, he is very knowledgeable about what will make a good tattoo that will last over time. Everything in the shop is kept really clean and sterile. If you want a professional tattoo from friendly people in a good environment go to Doc's!

  • Pros: Artists willing to work with you for your perfect tattoo

Doc's is great!

by akbm at Citysearch

Doc's is so clean and professional! My sister in law was getting another tattoo and wanted me to go. We talked to Greg who was really nice and helpful. We left for dinner so she could think over for sure what she wanted and then came back and Doc did the tattoo. He did amazing and was fast, the tattoo turned out perfect. I had him do my nose piercing and it didn't hurt at all. I know of a few people that have gone there and everyone is happy. All the artists books look amazing. Highly recommended and again, very clean, especially compared to some of the other shops around town.

Doc Hollidays Rated #1

by WeGotThis at Citysearch

Doc Hollidays welcomed me with a big fat smile upon entry and positive energy was in the air. All questions and ideas were welcomed and answered with actual care and respect. When the time came to begin the tattooing, Greg, whom I've nicknamed "The Surgeon" because his hands are so delicate and efficient like a doctors, was very quick and accurate. This place is awesome!! Note to self: 1. Wash feet and shave legs&underarms. 2. Bring ID Thank you for the positive staff and awesome atmosphere! See you soon!!

So glad we chose Doc Holliday!!

by pskrueger at Citysearch

My wife and I, and our grand daughter all had tattoos done at Doc Holliday recently, it was the first tattoo for me and my wife. We were very impressed with the staff we talked to when we set up the appointments the week before. The experience on the day of our appointment was even better. Knik, who did mine and my grand daughters tattoo was great to work with, he made several good suggestions and we are both very happy with the final art work. My wife had Doc do her tattoo, again a very good experience and she is thrilled with how her tattoo turned out. All of the staff that we met were very friendly and helpful and the professional atmosphere made us feel good about choosing Doc Holliday for our tattos.

Overpriced is the best quality

by shred1980now at Citysearch

i dont even know where to start. first, its overpriced, i was told doc charges $140 an hour, most places charge by ink, not time. i went with their second "best" artist greg. his portfolio was impressive, so i figured it was a good deal, ya my mistake. i sit down in his chair, and the only words that come out of his mouth are "lift your sleeve" and "ok" for two and a half hours. i couldnt see what he was doing very well through my blood, but when it was finished, i almost passed out. the lines werent straight, it wasn't symmetrical (i got three hearts with zebra striping), and the worst part was he actually messed up. there is a part where two zebra stripes connect into one (his idea), and instead of coloring inside the lines that he drew, he starts filling in between them, turning them into one massive black blob. luckily he caught his mistake and stopped halfway through, and instead of even trying to fill in the rest of the stripe, he just ignored it and kept going. remember kids, tattoos are forever, and so are the artists mistake. oh, his idea of shading? instead of using different shades of color or white to make it pop, he just left parts uncolored. the entire inner edge of my tattoo is completely untouched. it looks like he was afraid to go near the lines while coloring some places. doc seemed nice, he came in and talked to me more than greg did. they're intern was really cool too. but now i am stuck with a horrible tattoo and its my fault. i have friends with much better tattoos and they all agree that mine is a joke. if anywhere ,i suggest looking at hardcore tattoos.

Amazing

by Josh Mason at Citysearch

Me and my mother decided to get the same identical arm piece and his attention to detail and precision was amazing. Then the end results was simply perfection in every aspect. This was my first tattoo and if i decide to continue getting more tattoos he will be the one and only person i would go to. He is one of the few true artisan left in the state of Utah

  • Pros: Very professional and does amazing work
  • Cons: None at all

No One Beats Doc

by Entwhistle at Citysearch

My brother and I decided to get a lip piercing and a tattoo, respectively. I did a quick internet search of tattoo parlors around Salt Lake, and I found Doc's. The business is literally up the road from where my brother lives, and is easy to find. The inside of the building is clean and neatly organized, looking very professional. Doc and his wife were more than exceptional in how they treated us.

Doc did both my piercing and his tattoo. He took the time to make sure I did in fact want my piercing, telling me the cons that go along with it, such as possible problems with my teeth. However, I still wanted it, and he did an expert job. I felt almost no pain. It was done in under ten minutes, with the longest part being when I had to wash my mouth out beforehand!

My brother's tattoo turned out phenomenal. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. It was a difficult tattoo, incorporating lots of math symbols and circles. Doc did an incredible job and was done in less than two hours. My brother also claimed that the tattoo was virtually painless.

As if I wasn't already impressed, Doc also noticed that my brother's eyebrow piercing had been done wrong. It was beginning to be rejected. He removed that faulty piercing and pierced my brother's other eyebrow. We found out that those who had pierced my brother's eyebrow had used a belly piercing! And I almost went to them for my lip!

Both of us couldn't be happier with our experience at Doc's. I know that I'll go to him for my first tattoo, and I definitely know my brother will be going back for more tattoos. If you're even considering going to a different tattoo place, I'd think twice. Finding a tattoo parlor as great as Doc's is no easy feat.

  • Pros: Quick, decent price, professional people, awesome results
  • Cons: Truly none.

Will continue to go to Doc for all my tatoo needs

by Sara LeBreton at Citysearch

Let me start by saying i am usually a complainer... I dont take much time out of my day to mention that someone does a job that they are paid for.... However this being said Doc's is the only place I will go anymore for my tattoos. Doc did a cover up on my leg about 7-8 years ago and needless to say I was very pleased. He took time to show me how he could make it look better - plus really drew it out on my leg so that I could see the differences and was honest on the cost and time it would take.

I have been pleased with my tattoo ever since. I recently went back to Docs to get a new tattoo and showed off my old one since it still looks great. The color is still amazing and I continue to get compliments on it.

My new tattoo is beautiful, the staff at Docs are always amazing and shop is always clean.

if you want body art you must go to Doc.

  • Pros: Friendly, answers all questions, and really cares
  • Cons: none
