While its nice to have a bufffet style of food, sometimes quality is better than quantity. Depending on the day of the week and the type of food served will depend alot on how you experience this place. The food quite often has been sitting for long periods, and often is under cooked. Frequently some dishes like the vegtables are sour tasting. The food of edible. Although if other options are available, take them. The staff seem to be poor english speakers and irritated that they have to assist you. The best part is the mongolian BBQ section as you can at least be sure your getting somewhat fresh food. Not recommended if possible to avoid, do so.

Pros: Mongolian BBQ

Cons: Everything else! Mangement does not seem to care about customers needs!

I have gone to the Chinese Gourmet alot of times, and some times are better then others. So times you get seated right away and other times it take time. The food is ok, some days are better then other days. I do think they over charge for kids though. I think kids under 3 should be free. The bathrooms are not always clean. The servers have much to be desired. There again some are better then others.

Pros: food is good most of the time,

Cons: customer service and parking are not that great

This is my first review of any restaurant but not my first chinese buffet by far. I used to frequent another local buffet for the crab legs, which are kinda small, but after the first time at the Chinese Buffet I have been back several times. The price is comparable to any other but the variety is far more extensive. They have quite a large salad selection and Mongolian BBQ section. I try to go most fridays for the roast beef and Whitefish. The roast beef does tend to have a lot of fat but you can go back for as much as you want. It has a nice texture and flavor too, especially with the plentiful Au Jus and horseradish sauces. The Whitefish is very tender and has a nice flavor to it. Their fried butterfly shrimp is very tasety also. I will be going there tonight as a matter of fact. There are long lines at peak dinner times but that is just a testiment to the quality of the place. Hundreds of people can't all be wrong.

Pros: price, conveinience, quality

Cons: long lines

We've eaten here once in the time we've lived in Utah. The prices are reasonable for an adult dinner and the fact that you're getting such a large buffet full of options. The food is about what I'd consider average. It's edible, there's a couple good dishes, but it's not the best I've had either. It's what you'd expect at an American-Chinese buffet. Would eat here again, but it's not on the top of my list. The servers were slightly impatient with us, as it was closing within an hour, but the greeting at the front door was polite and cheerful.

Pros: Cheap meal, Filling, Variety

Cons: Not super delicious

The food there is quite tasty, and always leaves me satisfied. However, the prices continue to rise for admission each time I go there, and are getting steep. The atmosphere is also getting worse, unless you speak spanish and enjoy being sandwiched in a room with wall-to-wall mexican customers and employees.

Pros: Good Food

Cons: Lame atmosphere, too few legal residents of the U.S.A. inside

We have been going here for lunch for years, along with a remodel came some bad service and longer lines. You used to able to walk up to any bar and get your food and now it seems like you have to stand and wait for everything. Food is still pretty good, it used to be fun in there and now it just seems like the fun is gone, and the servers act put out that you might need something. The host and cashiers seem a little rude too.

Pros: Cheap, Lots of food

Cons: Parking, Service, Long lines

If you are looking for a quick, fast, and reasonable meal this is the place. There is a variety of items for all diners. The stir fry line is worth the wait. This is a yummy stir fry which you get to choose what you want cooked.

Pros: Fast, Variety of items

Cons: Slow service

This is can hardly be classified as "cuisine". I would rather eat frozen chinese from the local grocery store. The food was bland, dry and all in all boring. If they serve chinese in a school lunch, this would be it. I am always amazed at what Utahans classify as good retaurants. This restaurant would not be able to stay open more than a couple months in any other state.

Cons: overcrowded, bad food, cafeteria ambience
