It's the service that holds me back

If it weren't for the service I have received at Pib's in the past I would shop there all the time. But I know what the other reviews are saying about the girls. I don't usually have trouble with the guys, but I hate trying to approach the girls. One actually tried to sell me two shoes that were both for the left foot. (???) Why would anyone buy two left-footed shoes? And it is hard to get them to do anything for you, like open a dressing room, without them wondering why they have to do stuff for you even though you are keeping them in business. Great clothes, but terrible service. I don't know if I could ever work there because I would be the only girl there with a work ethic.

Pathetic store I hope goes under

Customer service is horrible. Some butt ugly girl with some stupid pink extensions is the worst. The owner looks like he's been on acid his whole life is an idiot. They'll rip you off in prices. Clothes are not clean before sold. Whoever works there will go nowhere in life. Born to be losers.

INCREDIBLE!

I absolutely LOVE this store! If you ask what they're taking then bring in items accordingly, you really can get a lot. They give you almost double if you use the money to buy from their store. I sold a bunch of clothes and had the option of $26 in cash or $48 in credit. And the credit doesn't expire. There's tons of vintage stuff and amazing costumes. I love it. My favorite store in SLC. If you like thrift stores or anything a little bit out of the ordinary, you'll love Pib's Exchange.

Let's see--where do I begin? Prices are awful, clerks are rude, and clothes aren't cleaned! Of course, let's not forget the salespeople who short-change you and scream when you point out their mistake...

Avoid this place!

I love shopping used clothing stores, but this place is awful. Customer service is rude, they overcharge you, and treat customers who actually want to purchase items like the plague. Don't reward bad customer service - go somewhere else!!!

THIEFS!

I went to try and sell some jeans and after they had gone throught them they told me they were not interested in purchasing any of them. Once I returned home I had realized that there was a pair of my jeans missing. I wish I would have considered the warning of an earlier comment and not gone in there. They are thiefs!

My favorite store in SLC

I love love love Pib's Exchange. I go there all the time and rarely leave empty handed. My husband got me a $25 gift certificate there and I bought 4 things with it! If the service isn't perfect, so what? The clothes are great, I am sold. I reccomend this place to anyone who will listen.

Great treasures. . . . Unmedicated bipolar service

I am an avid fan of Pib's. I have been going in there for over 3 years but recently stopped. The treasures were worth digging through because I ALWAYS left with something I fell in love with. The VERY few employees that DID help me were wonderful and made me feel welcome. The reason I stopped shopping there was when one of the girls made a snide remark about me as I was walking in (I was the only customer in there) - "She is in here everday. Doesn't she have a life?!" Sorry that I find joy in shopping in your facility on my way home from a hard day's work. She was also the girl that I had caught her hiding some of my things under the counter and NOT giving me my credit for it.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

INSULTING. Pibs Exchange stays in business by.....I have no idea. They are the rudest business I have ever stepped into. I called before going in , then hauled several boxes of nice clothing into their store

(not one item more than 1 year old and hardly worn). Not one employee would even hold the door open to be helpful, then they all just starred at me like I was I had just arrived from outer space. As they slowly went through my belongings ,I asked to try on a few items, finally someone unlocked the dressing room for me after about 5 minutes After 30 minutes of browsing I asked if they wanted to buy any of my clothing and they Looked at me as if I was still the "Alien" who had just dropped by with some space suits to ask them to buy. It was all in the box, I assumed all of it, they didn't want one item. Then some girl appeared and pulled out a top and offered my $11 for it. I refused the $11. All the items I took in were from Norstrom and other high end stores. I am okay if they just didn't think the items would sell to "their clientele", but they were so rude and demeaning it actually made me sad to be a human being, I wish I was the Alien with the Space suits I am sure I would have been treated kinder. So I will have to agree with all the reviews that say not to bother going into this store. There are much better choices and they aren't on Mars.

can't complain

A good many individuals have complained about the service of Pib's this ignores the reality of Pibs you get a reciprocal response to your attitude, the employs can be rude or the nicest people you will ever encounter where else does the employee put on a Elvis wig and challenge you to a heart felt game of ping pong.

Their service is only a shadow to the real wonder of Pibs I spent eighty seven dollars yesterday got three hundred and some odd dollars worth of clothing tags still on this outweighs any objections you would have about their service. Great selection since they opened up the new store really has got better.

Speaking about the new location many will claim that the new location lacks the same atmosphere of the old location, they are very wrong with its nice mix of local music, Alt rock and rap music place is still bumping and the new furnishings are more comfy then ever.

Sweet Selection and prices.

Pibs new location has gone under a great overhaul, better layout, better selction of clothes, and most importantly the customer service is outstanding! I sold several of my favorite jeans and a few sweaters and was given a fare price with a smile. They have a new staff and they where very friendly with me... Good job Pibs! I look forward to more great finds and trades.
