I am an avid fan of Pib's. I have been going in there for over 3 years but recently stopped. The treasures were worth digging through because I ALWAYS left with something I fell in love with. The VERY few employees that DID help me were wonderful and made me feel welcome. The reason I stopped shopping there was when one of the girls made a snide remark about me as I was walking in (I was the only customer in there) - "She is in here everday. Doesn't she have a life?!" Sorry that I find joy in shopping in your facility on my way home from a hard day's work. She was also the girl that I had caught her hiding some of my things under the counter and NOT giving me my credit for it.

Pros: great selection, fashion staples, variety

Cons: parking, snotty employees

INSULTING. Pibs Exchange stays in business by.....I have no idea. They are the rudest business I have ever stepped into. I called before going in , then hauled several boxes of nice clothing into their store (not one item more than 1 year old and hardly worn). Not one employee would even hold the door open to be helpful, then they all just starred at me like I was I had just arrived from outer space. As they slowly went through my belongings ,I asked to try on a few items, finally someone unlocked the dressing room for me after about 5 minutes After 30 minutes of browsing I asked if they wanted to buy any of my clothing and they Looked at me as if I was still the "Alien" who had just dropped by with some space suits to ask them to buy. It was all in the box, I assumed all of it, they didn't want one item. Then some girl appeared and pulled out a top and offered my $11 for it. I refused the $11. All the items I took in were from Norstrom and other high end stores. I am okay if they just didn't think the items would sell to "their clientele", but they were so rude and demeaning it actually made me sad to be a human being, I wish I was the Alien with the Space suits I am sure I would have been treated kinder. So I will have to agree with all the reviews that say not to bother going into this store. There are much better choices and they aren't on Mars.

A good many individuals have complained about the service of Pib's this ignores the reality of Pibs you get a reciprocal response to your attitude, the employs can be rude or the nicest people you will ever encounter where else does the employee put on a Elvis wig and challenge you to a heart felt game of ping pong. Their service is only a shadow to the real wonder of Pibs I spent eighty seven dollars yesterday got three hundred and some odd dollars worth of clothing tags still on this outweighs any objections you would have about their service. Great selection since they opened up the new store really has got better. Speaking about the new location many will claim that the new location lacks the same atmosphere of the old location, they are very wrong with its nice mix of local music, Alt rock and rap music place is still bumping and the new furnishings are more comfy then ever.

Pros: atmosphere, value, and moving selection.

Pibs new location has gone under a great overhaul, better layout, better selction of clothes, and most importantly the customer service is outstanding! I sold several of my favorite jeans and a few sweaters and was given a fare price with a smile. They have a new staff and they where very friendly with me... Good job Pibs! I look forward to more great finds and trades.

Pros: friendly, great prices, new costume selection great

-They don't pay you decently- I got $8 for my stuff that everything was in style, brand new or only been wore twice. They were worth $100. Of course, I didn't expect that much but 8 was totally...surprising. -Employees are so unfriendly, they don't seem to care about customers, They are worse then Wetseal people. JUST SELL YOUR STUFF ON EBAY.

I just called PIb's to ask about bringing my clothes in and the guy was a totally rude. Its right down the street from my house but i would rather drive all the way to Plato's closet if that means not having to deal with such rude people.

Pib's used to be such a great store! There used to be a great variety of clothing, nice employees, and they'd pay you pretty decently for the clothes you sell. Now they have a lot of bitchy girls working there (who act like it is the biggest inconvenience in the world to help you with anything) and their variety is extremely limited. They also don't pay you as well as they used to for your clothing. It's still a good place for Halloween, but that's about it.

Pros: Halloween

Cons: Little variety, crappy service

lets see, pibbs is the worst retail store in salt lake city. 1. it smells really really bad. 2. the service, is horrible. they have to unlock the rooms for you to try on clothes but find it hard to detache them selves from personal conversations to do so. then when they do, they give you attitude about staring them down to get you a room. b!tches get stitches. 3. they'd rather take a bucket of banana republic and gap clothes than buy any high end designers. they say they don't sell.... D&G doesn't sell. 4. doesn't compare to Plato's Closet or the DI. shop there unless you like smelling and being treated like cra p.

Pros: um nothing

Cons: everything

pibs is the place i go to buy band t-shirts. They have a lot of variety and don't have your everyday stuff. I also love their vintage section and their dressing rooms are very creative. I have never had any problems with the customer service. The employees are always very helpful and efficient.

ready to give up & sell my cool dated clothes, called pib's at least based ONLY on overall rating. last reviews here (2002/2003) very helpful, because i'm not in the mood for crummy customer svc. here's an update -- even w/o ever having bn there yet. told her what i had & she was v helpful w/ explanation. also talked w/ her about my concerns based on prev user ratings. she not only expressed her concern, but assured me there's bn turnover since then and everyone she works w/ or works there "would b more than happy" to help me. i'm sold. will head over this week.
