Great Selection, pushy sales people by Ami J. at InsiderPages

I shopped at the Lactation Station a few months ago after having my first child. I was impressed by the large selection of nursing bras they carried (size A to G). I think the sales woman could tell that I was a first timer and as I was selecting a few bras to try on, she came over and told me that I was all wrong. She grabbed about 5 bras and took me to a dressing room where the instructed me to try one of them on. Then she insisted that she come in and see how it fit me to see if it was right or needed adjusting. She continued to stay right outside the dressing room and ask how each bra I tried on fit. When I told her that I wanted to look around for a minute and started to look in the clearance section she informed me that none of those bras would be right for me. I eventually conceded that I would get nowhere with the saleswoman hovering so I purchased one of the bras she had me try on and got out of there.
There's No Place Better!

I can't figure out what the former reviewers are thinking. I was in a difficult situation when my daughter had her baby early. We were not prepared for her to go home. Carrie who is a certified nurse-midwife knew just what we would need. While I was on the phone with my daughter, Carrie figured out the right bras and supplies she would need. Later when she came home and was having a difficult time breastfeeding a premature baby, I again turned to the Lactation Station for help. They suggested a pump that worked much better for this situation. It made all the difference. The Lactation Station has continued to help us in many ways and has shown me what real customer service means.
- Pros: Trained professionals who know what they're talking about
- Cons: None
If you want a proper bra fitting go elsewhere

It is especially important for a nursing mother to have a well fitting bra, so with that being said I would never recommend this business to anyone who wants that. I was shocked when I went in this store asked for my size and the woman refused to give it to me, that is weird. I had just been fit for a bra that week by a fit specialist. First mistake without asking if I needed the help she eyeballed my size, no measuring tape, nothing! That really demostrates skill. Who does that? I realize that she thinks she is so great at her job she needs no measuring tape, but I don't care how long you have fit people for, you can still be suprised how different sizes can look. Every woman that came in when I was there recieved the same lazy customer service, if you can't give people the proper bra fitting then hire more help. I feel sorry for people who don't know any better and are wearing bra's that don't fit. That is hard on your back and shoulders especially if you have a large chest. None of the bra's are available for customers to look at, they are all behind a counter and sealed up, I felt like I was back in the 70's in that show "are you being served". Not only is this store in dire need of customer service training and appropriate manners, they are in dire need of a remodel.
- Pros: Has some nice brands
- Cons: Bad customer service and poor merchandising. Almost nothing is accesible to the customer.
