Love my hair!
by CMB44 at Citysearch
Love my hair! Zazou is the best for getting in and getting out. Plus they do an amazing job at hair. My hair is course and typically hard to deal with, but Rhonda Holt hooks it up every time. Not only that, wherever I go, please ask me who does it. Huge thank you to Zazou and Rhonda!
Shocked that someone would say something so negative.

After reading an essay of ranting, I thought it appropriate to comment that I disagree and love this salon. If you are looking for exceptional stylists and a comfortable/friendly atmosphere, you would want to come here.
Not the best

Not impressed. Asked to soften my review by my stylist. Also not impressed. As a favor to him I will and did. But still am not as happy with this salon compared to other Aveda salon I have been treated at.
Great Stylest!!
by Roxy23 at Citysearch
I have been going to Salon Zazou for almost two years now. The salon has a warm friendly atmosphere. I just love my stylest, Cassie. I have wavy course hair and she works her magic to make it look amazing. She does wonders!! I also can't stop recommending all the Aveda products. I just love it all! If you are looking for a wonderful stylest, may I suggest going to Cassie Dean.
Wasn't so bad, but didn't bowl me over.

I hate looking for hair stylists so I always hope for the best when trying someone new. I won't mention the person by name but it wasn't an overwhelmingly positive experience. It was expensive and hurried. The cut itself was ok but the way she styled my hair at the end was a little discouraging. I thought to myself, "Really? You're a stylist and this is how you'd do my hair?" I looked like my 70 year old father. No big deal, I can style it however I want but it made me seriously doubt her taste/sense of style. Especially when she's asking me for $30+ tip to cut it. I don't mind paying for a good haircut, but you gotta rock it.
And to be honest, I know that salons are full of gossipy talk and all that, and I talk as much as the next person, but asking me the details of my personal life before the cape is even on is a little intrusive. If I like you and we get to know each other, I'll tell you stuff. But whether I'm single and have ever been married is the kind of thing that can wait until we've know each other for, you know, 20 minutes. Also, I second the comment made about the cockiness (though it was a different person who cut my hair). That's great that you think you're good. But telling me that you're so awesome I'll never go anywhere else is kind of ridiculous. If you're actually good, you won't have to tell me.
The bottom line: the haircut was expensive, not nearly as good the cut I'd been getting at another salon, and I had to deflect questions about my personal life. On the plus side the young lady who cut my hair was drop-dead gorgeous. But I'm going to continue looking for a stylist.
An exceptional Sugar House salon
by mlgwi864 at Citysearch
Like a lot of businesses in Sugar House, Salon Zazou is located in a nice, quaint neighborhood. The perfect location for this hidden gem of a salon. I was lucky enough to have Cassadra Dean as my stylist, on my first visit to Salon Zazou. She was friendly, professional, and made me feel right at home after offering me a cup of their amazing tea! My appointment started out with a great scalp massage by her intern, with wonderful Aveda products (which I now use :-)).
Not only did she do an amazing job cutting my hair, but styled it, and taught me how to do that particular style on my own. Being somewhat of a tomboy most of my life, this was much appreciated! It has been 6 months since this appointment, and I still get people asking me if I recently had a trim. I don't think I will ever be able to go to anyone else from now on. Cassie was amazing, and Salon Zazou has the perfect environment, to keep me coming back for years.
Best stylist in Utah

I have been a long time client of Cassie's and recently visited her new location. Cassie is the best hair dresser I have ever had. She not only listens to what you want but puts her own touch on your idea. The end result is amazing and more than you could have hoped for. You leave the salon and feel like a whole new beautiful person. I would recommend Cassie to anyone a 100 times over for a stylist.... She deserves more than 5 stars!!!
New Stylist, New Cut New year at a great salon!

I went in to Salon Zazou for the first time and had Cassie as a stylist. I have really thick curly hair and I walked in and told Cassie that i wanted something new and the colors i was thinking of doing and it turned out so amazing! The products that she used were the best and the techniques she used to get the color on my hair was amazing! I will be going to Cassie for a lifetime! If you have curly hair i recommend that you make an appointment with Cassie ASAP!!!
Amazed Over and Over

I am writing this because I love my hair stylist. Cassie Dean. She is undoubtedly the best stylist I have ever visited and she can do curly hair like a magician! She has taught me how to do my own hair, and no one has ever taken the time to do that in my life. I have never been so happy with my curly locks!! I have also never written a review before, but am writing this to prove YES!! HER GRATEFUL CLIENTS ARE WRITING THESE, not her! Book your appointment online. I do, at www.schedulicity.co*
Scary! Not what I expected from trendy salon.
by dvgal at Citysearch
I was excited to try salon zazou today. the lobby was beautiful, but the stylist they introduced me to looked like she was old enough to be my grandmother. Not what I was expecting from such a trendy salon. The woman had bleached out hair and horrible roots - the exact opposite kind of hair I wanted! I sat down in her chair and she tackily had prices posted on her mirror - $110 for a highlight? Then to add to her lack of tact she handed me the highlight strips and asked me to hand them to her one by one. So gross, I'm paying you to do my hair, don't make me do the work. I told her I'd rather not do that and she acted shocked that she would have to do the work. So I told her I wasn't comfortable with her and left the salon. I will never be going back.
