I work at a local hotel and we constantly have guests inquiring about pizza. Free wheeler is the best pizza in salt lake in my opinion, yes thats right even better than the pie, the prices are very reasonable the food is always hot and fresh and the delivery en as well as dispatchers are all very friendly. If you haven't tried it you should ... Ill bet you'll love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Pros: great service
- Cons: they close
Outstanding Pizza
by wegs1967 at Citysearch
I grew up in Chicago an am partial to both Chicago thin crust and stuffed pizza, however the pizza from Free Wheeler Pizza is truely outsanding. Crust is very tasty, sauce is fantastic, and there are plenty of toppings on the Super Big Wheel!!! Not sure when I will get back to Salt Lake City, but I will definetly order another pie from these guys! The only thing they could do better is cut it into squares instead of triangles!!
- Pros: Everything - Delivered Hot and fresh!!!
Best Pizza In US
by kevinmiller11 at Citysearch
My occupation requires me to travel almost weekly. I've had pizza in all parts of the USA. I've eaten in Chicago and New York, where they brag about their pizza, and in California where they try to be eclectic in their menu offerings. Nowhere have I found more creative and delicious pizza than here at Free Wheeler. I often pick up a pizza when I'm home. Creative toppings, whole wheat crust by request, and there always seem to be coupons available to make it even more of a good value. Take it from someone who has eaten at Pizza places from coast to coast, Free Wheeler is terrific.
Dinner without leaving the couch--it's what pizza was invented for.

The Scene
Sometimes, there's no better scene--one hand on the remote, the other on the phone dialing the pizza place. Delivery is fairly swift and your pie is hot.
The Food
A good selection of specialty pizzas and a dizzying array of toppings make for a difficult choice if you're uncertain. Of the specialty pies, the most distinctive is the gyro--pizza crust topped with a white sauce, jack, mozzarella and feta cheese, red onions, black olives, tomatoes and gyro meat. The signature pie is the Big Wheel--pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives and fresh tomato wedges. The sourdough crust (in wheat or white) is chewy and flavorful, and the basic red sauce is robust. Non-traditional toppings include almonds, artichoke hearts, egg, peanuts, spinach and zucchini. Don't skip the garlic rolls--the just-larger-than-bite-size nuggets are packed with garlicky flavor and rolled in delicious parmesan cheese.
