Raging Waters Bait and Switch

We have generally enjoyed Raging Waters, but beware the true cost: You will need to rent a tube that cannot be shared. In the beginning, there seemed to be sufficient "complimentary" tubes. By the end of the year there were often none to be had. So be sure to add the cost of tube rentals for each member of the family for your day use or season pass.

• Pros: Clean fun
• Cons: bait and switch in the overall cost

After reading the review of the dirty water, my family and I were skeptical about going to raging waters, but considering that there are only three water parks in Utah, and this was the closest to where we live, we decided to give it a try, I have to say, we were impressed by the whole facility, the water was crystal clear, the grounds were groomed, the employees were very helpful, and the concessions stand had great food, for that type of food. Needless to say we had a great time, my 11 year old commented that this water park was his favorite, out of the 3 major ones in Utah that we have tried.

Thanks Raging Waters for a fun expierence.

Extremely dirty! Beware!!!!

We went to Raging Waters in July of 2008. First of all I can not believe they charge $13.95 for a 3 and 4 year old. That is ridiculous, and our toddlers could only play in 2 of their 10+ water features. From the outside it looks like a nice, family friendly, clean park. We were so WRONG! As soon as we paid and went into the park we realized that all of the pools looked cloudy. I was seriously afraid for my children to even set foot in the water. I wanted to grab my toddlers hands and run, but we had to stay and try to have fun for their sake. Another disgusting part about the park is their bathrooms and dressing rooms. They were like something you would see at a camping ground. I was extremely disappointed, and could not believe this place was even in business. My only good point is that my kids did not get sick after swimming in that cloudy dirty water.

• Cons: The price, the dirty pools, dirty bathrooms, and RUDE unqualified staff.

Atlantis meets Six Flags: It's more water-based fun than you can imagine in the middle of landlocked Utah.

The Appeal
Unless you're hydrophobic and your worst nightmare involves being seen in your swimsuit in public, you'll surely find something fun to do at Raging Waters. Even standing in line to ride the slides can be a good time: You get a chance to dry off and ready yourself for the next dousing.

Facts and Features
Every summer, people flock here to sunbathe, float in the wave pool, race down the Acapulco Cliff Dive slide and check out all the other people running around in swimsuits. In addition to the wave pool, the many slides and a huge kiddie pool with all sorts of diversions, there are often performances--everything from singing groups to skateboarders. If you want to shell out the usual inflated concession-stand sums, you'll even eat well. Munch on pizza, slushy drinks, nachos and other summertime treats.
