DO NOT GO HERE
by thunderstruk666
I remember being in this bar one night when Rob, the owner beat up his 100 pound waitress choked her and threw her into a wall before random patrons could restrain him cause she was trying to keep this drunk coked out maniac from beating up a customer. it was unbelievable. yeah....go ahead and put money in THAT guys pocket. What a piece of work.
- Pros: it's not open 24 hours
- Cons: management
Good Prices and a cool dive bar on Main Street.
by shygrl08
I like fun dive bars. I dont know why, but I just do. Murphy's is just that a fun Dive bar that has decent drinks for pretty cheap. I like it because my girlfreinds are meetin' up after work sometimes to get some drinks do our girly talkin'. I used to consider a good place to met poeple but lately I have been leanin' elsewhere. Another thing I like is their location. It is so close to Cheers to you and the Deset Lounge that we have memberships to all three and we go bar hoppin'. Way fun.
- Pros: Good Drinks for a good deal and fun times on Main Street.
- Cons: Kind of divey but chraming.
Worst Bartenders Ever
by Traveler24
I was on business in Salt Lake City and I went here for a relaxing evening. I ended up getting cursed out by the bartender because HE made a drink wrong and pretty much told me that he was going to kick my *ss. They were rude and disgusting I would NEVER go there again. If you aren't a local, I wouldn't suggest going there ever.
- Pros: Within walking distance
- Cons: Rude slow bartenders

While away your entire night with a mix of newcomers and regulars at an active Irish pub.

In Short
A steady stream of newcomers adds nicely to the regular clientele, and the place gets full, but not jam-packed, every weekend. The jukebox has a selection of tunes for 20-somethings who came of age in the '80s, with plenty of choices from the Pogues and the Young Dubliners. Murphy's has a full menu of standard pub fare: fried appetizers, salads, sandwiches and burgers. It's an Irish pub, so order a beer or sip an Irish coffee.
