Mouthwatering sushi with right at home service!

Walking into Mizumi is liking walking into a friend’s house for dinner. The owners and staff are the friendliest I have come across. . From the time you walk in, you feel like you belong. There is always a very fun and social atmosphere at the sushi bar. I have met people there that travel from North Salt Lake to Provo that make this place a ‘regular’. The fish is fresh and leaves your mouth watering for more, not to mention the impeccable art of the sushi chef. If you crave a roll you don’t see on the menu, no worries, they will make up anything that you would desire, or inspire, with your favorite tastes. Come with an appetite, and expect a very friendly upbeat atmosphere – and yes, they will remember you when you come back! I am almost reluctant to tell others about this gem. I would prefer it to be Sandy’s best kept secret!.
- Pros: incredibel sushi, fabulous upbeat atmosphere

I am always looking for best food at a good price....
My recent visit to Mizumi happy hour was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they have seperate happy hour menu in between Monday thru Thurs 5:30 - 7:30.
The quality of fish was fresh and excellent. the portion was excellent. you can tell they didn't skim on the quality and portions. they explained they chose customers favorite rolls to base their happy hour menu.
If you are not a sushi fan they offer shrimp tempura dinner and yaki udon on their happy hour menu....
this is going to be my sushi bar.. why pay for over priced sushi at other restaurats when you can get it at good quality and good price at Mizumi.
- Pros: excellent , excellent food at good price

I have been coming to Mizumi for years. Food is always excellent and service is above average. Their Tataki is Best in Utah always fresh and consistent. I crave their food when I am out of town and always the first place to visit when I am back in town..
Parking is never a problem un-like down town places.
It's not a trendy flashy place. It's very homey like cheers. They are always friendly and remebers you by your name and also what your likes and dis-likes are.
their pokki salad, tataki, and mars roll are my favorites. the chefs will create anything that's not on the menu. their shizen is unique. deep fried rice patty with spicy tuna is creative and yummy.....
I love Mizumi and I think they're the best....
Good job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We drove by Mizumi for years and never stopped in...
In our first visit we weren't sure what to expect. the food is outstanding and the service was above normal..
You have to try Tataki and the Mars Roll.
The portions are bigger than other restaurants and the price is lower compared to other places. I have became there regulars and miss and crave their food when I am out of town. I am definete fan of Mizumi....
- Pros: large paking space, good service and food
Horrible service and food

Yesterday was my second experience at Mizumi and it was by far the worst experience at a restaurant I've had. I had returned to Mizumi for the second time because my first experience was so great. Our waitress (Jessica or Jennifer can't remember) was friendly and spoke perfect English, our sushi was great tasting and fresh, and our food came out very promptly. So my wife and I asked a few friends to join us for a great night out at Mizumi, which turned out to be utterly disappointing. Firstly our waitress (can't remember her name) couldn't speak English very well and to be honest, we couldn't understand what she was saying. My wife and I ordered sushi (which came out really late), and our friends ordered food from the kitchen. Not only was the order wrong, but the food tasted very bad. It was not authentic, too salty, very little meat for what it costs, and the tempura is the worst I have seen at any japanese restaurant. . When we tried to get our waitress' attention to complain about the food, she would rush off to another table, as if she hadn't seen us waving our hands in the air. I have no complaints for the sushi other than it takes a long time for it to come out. Mizumi needs to either learn from other restaurants how to cook their kitchen food or lower their prices for their poor tasting foods. They also need to get rid of that rude and hard to understand waitress.
- Pros: Good sushi
- Cons: Horrible kitchen food and service
Fake Japanese Food
by JapaneseLotus at Citysearch
The donburi was not a good representation of real Japanese donburi. The taste, look, everything was completely different. It was very dissapointing. We also got the karage which wasn't anything like the real thing. If aren't expecting real Japanese food this place might be okay, otherwise, stay away.
- Pros: Good location, friendly people
- Cons: expensive, not real Japanese food.
Great fan of Mizumi and their food !!!

If you haven't been to Mizumi you definetely need to go. My first visit to Mizumi I came with couple of my friends and sat at the sushi bar. Two former head chefs/ which I later found out will guide you and create amazing items off menu according to your taste bud. Mars roll and tataki is out of this world...
Best price in town for sashimi portions and they are always fresh and yummy...
They have a lot of regulars and seem to know each other. I can see why people refer this place as cheers of suhsi bar. I love this place and I can see why people keep on coming back for more....
- Pros: great food and service
- Cons: none
