Good Time at the Moose

Nine of us in our party went to the Hungry Moose for dinner after a day of skiing last Feb. 2008. They got us a large table in the sports bar downstairs so we could all sit together. Their menu offered something for all of us. I had the buffalo burger and my wife had the chicken fajita salad and both were great. It was busy that night but our server gave us great service. I thought you could not get a good drink in Utah but our server suggested the Blue Cadillac Margarita which was really really good.

Took too long to even eat here

When we entered this restaurant, we were told that it would take about 5-10 minutes to get a seat because they needed to clean and set up the table for us. Why would it take 5-10 minutes to clean a table? Well giving them the benefit of the doubt, we waited patiently and finally sat down.

After 15 minutes of waiting at the table with no water, bread, or even an acknowledgment of a waiter, we got up and left. Also considering the fact that it didn't seem like a busy night (Wednesday night, mind you), the service here is atrocious. If you have the patience of a saint, you could try eating here. Based upon the other reviews I have seen of this place, the food here isn't that great either.

Disappointed

We went on a sunday afternoon. They did not have the accomadations for the group of 8 that we were, so they brought us downstairs to the pub area and sat us. It was freezing in there since it was a basement, but they could have cranked the heat up or something. Our waiter seemed distracted a lot. Like he was too busy to look at us. It seemed like the food took a while to get to us. We ordered a coctail and it was very weak. We basically paid $8 for a very small cup of juice. I looked over at the bar while we waited for our food and noticed that someone was sleeping with their head down on the bar. It was kind of a strange atmosphere. I wouldnt go back again. My food was pretty good buffalo cheese burger, but my sister said the bbq pulled pork sandwhich she ordered wasnt very good, it was mushy.
