Nice atmosphere, not so good food
by Lawrenceandrew
Nice atmosphere, but that's all that's nice. The salad bars are too deep to allow proper protection of the food from contamination. I ordered a special $35 steak and it was inedible. I asked the waiter politely for a replacement. He basicly forced me to take a prime rib. The prime rib was raw/rare. I asked him to have the prime rib cooked to medium. My son, who had ordered a kids meal, was still hungry because the kids meal portions are extremely small, shared the prime rib wth me. My son and I were both sick for two days with food poisining. Not much fun. Was it the salad bar or the prime rib? No way to tell. All I know is that I would eat fast food before ever going back to Grub Seak House.
Excellent place to eat

Had the Filet... excellent quality and superb service. By Utah standards average price, however by Las Vegas standards very inexpensive. Casual dress...

Ok, so we want a really good steak and this place is one of three recommended by the hotel where we was stayinging in .
We were seated quickly, the food server was pretty good, but the food was horrible!!! What we thought was really sad was we could have gone to the local Ruby Tuesday's had the same meal, however it would have cost about a third and we could have eaten it! What a total disappointment! We don'tt mind spending $29.00 for a steak but it was tough, the baked potato had been in the oven since the place opened. The ribs were amazingly small for such huge bones!
If your looking for steak or ribs go some place else!
- Pros: good location, not too crowded, good service
- Cons: way over priced, poor quality of food
Great Dining for Locals at the Grub Stea
by kimraymer
The Grub Steak Restaurant offers a tremendous variety for dining. Superb value, delicious menu entrees, creative daily specials and the best salad bar in Utah - I can dine with my family at the Grub Steak for salad bar, lite dining selections or full dinner entree - always good. You can't leave without being tempted by the dessert selections - always fresh/always homemade.
- Pros: Service, Food Value, Dessert
Wrap up a day of skiing with a hearty steak.
