Oh well

by sockeyejuice

My wife and I locals here in Park City went out or a nice date on what may likely be our last before the birth of our first child due in a week. Friends siting near we festive we were comfortable and the service came on a bit cold. What was worse was the food cam out cold as well. At first attempt the plate returned hotter, nope not the food; second try the plate came our on fire and the meat I ordered warmed up a bit as I ate, very small bit. When i said it was passable and I thought the food was not prepared recently I got no reply. My wife's Halibut was so so, yah I know were far from the ocean.

  • Pros: nice decor for big groups
  • Cons: service, food

350 Main= Hot LA girl

by debuyama

They both look great from the outside, but there's nothing inside! If you walked by in the summer time with the windows open you would say, "That looks like a great place to eat" and it would be if the food matched the atmosphere. My experiences were the following: First time I went I ordered the Ono Ono, and was not impressed, it was dry. The second time I got pork tenderloin, not so great. Third time I got the steak- frits, it was ok, how can you screw this up. Each time I was in groups of 6-8 people and it was almost universal at the table that the food was just "Ok". All in what you pay for and what you get, I'd go to River Horse or Purple Sage over 350 Main. If you want the ambiance go to the bar get a menu, tell them you will order something and just order drinks.

  • Pros: The restaurant looks cool
  • Cons: Food not that great and expensive

Best on Main Street!

by gaithorama

My experience at 350 Main was memorable and special. The ambiance was relaxed and refined. It was a hip scene in a beautiful historic building. The service was hospitable. My waiter was knowledgeable kept our table looking nice. Though it was a bit spendy, the night was worth it. The quality of food was fantastic and I drank some stellar vino. This restaurant is perfect for special occasions or grabbing a quick bite to eat at the bar. Park City's best executed and most enjoyable restaurant.

  • Pros: Food, Wine, Service
  • Cons: Busy, Dessert list

Horrible place!!! Total rip off!!!

by rover10

I have never before written a review for a restaurant but felt compelled to do so for 350 Main / The Spur because it was so awful. I had dinner there on new years eve and it was a horrible experience. They charged absurdly high prices ($150 prix fix excluding drinks) for food that could best be described as bar slop. The live entertainment was also 3rd tier. I guess they can get away with this sort of thing because Park City is a tourist destination and they don?t have to worry too much about repeat business. I have honestly never felt so ripped off by a restaurant in my life and am genuinely angry about the experience. Under no circumstances should you patronize this restaurant. It deserves to go out of business.

  • Pros: None. This place is aweful
  • Cons: Bar slop at absurd prices

Didn't live up

by fineschmecker

Ambiance was very nice.

Service was friendly and helpful, but the courses were slow in coming.

Food was just average. The Conch Chowder special was pretty bland - the conch dumplings were hard and tasteless. The bread was horrible. The sliced raisen bread, I swear, was 3 days old. There is no excuse for such poor bread offerings in a fine restaurant.

Our Asparagus salad on a Lobster coleslaw was excellent though - not super tasty, but nicely prepared and enjoyable.

The coffee encrusted pork loin was tender, but generally bland as well. Same with the Salmon and Beef Medallions. The best part was the wild mushroom medley, mashed pototoes and crispy "steak" fries. The waiter went out of his way to procure some Malt vinegar for this Quebec gal.

All in all, it just didn't live up to the reviews and recommendations.

Fine food, wine and service housed in one of Park City's most beautiful and intriguing historic buildings.

by Contributor

The Scene
An undeniable aura of good times pervades this building, echoing its past lives as dance hall, nightclub and market. Maple floors, the original pressed-tin ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Main Street. Solid service and an unbeatable atmosphere make this a consistently pleasant dining venue.

The Food
The menu offers a globally influenced selection of items with pleasing presentations and delicious sauces. Start with the smoked duck and shiitake spring rolls, seared foie gras or smoked Norwegian salmon. The ono-ono is served with two presentations at once: wasabi-panko crusted and cilantro-ginger glazed. Entrees as exotic as coconut seafood nage and as simple as lentil and wild rice stew. Don't miss the black truffle-Romano mashed potatoes, the amazing ahi tower appetizer or the warm pear tart with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.
