Poor service!

Wait staff is rude. We felt rushed and so was the food. Very abrasive waiter. Do not go here.

Great place for authentic Mexican Cuisine

Their smothered burritos with cheese are great! The price for something that is good and it fills you up is cheap. It's under $5 and it's heaven! I have tried their Chili Relleno platter, now that's something I could eat for 2 days. It's been a long time since I had that, because it's a lot of food and I can't finish the platter. Really It's the only place I go out to eat and I go there once a month. It's time to go back!

• Pros: Smothered burritos with cheese are heaven!
• Cons: Once in a great while the service isn't up to par.

Great Smothered burritos!

My wife and I love their smothered burritos. Nicely prepared with nicely sized portions. They take time to make the dish look presentable.

There's a waitor there that's very quick but very impersonal and short with customers.

They charge for additional complementary tortilla chips. The location in West Valley doesn't.

However, its the best Mexican between State and 900 East on 7200 S.

• Cons: Service could be better - they seem cheap

even though its one item...its worth it!

i go there all the time and have ordered almost everything on the menu. i have found that the smothered burrito with cheese and onions are my all time favorite. for the large burritos they only charge 5 bucks which is like a big mac meal at McDonald so for a hand prepared, hot, tasty, burrito you really do get your moneys worth. if you have a problem with the price then go somewhere where they store all foods next to the chemicals and have rodent problems because for the price la puente is the best in town. the people may be rude but look at the reviews you are giving them. I 'm sure that if they treat you a tad bit rude and you are there just to judge them then you are not going to be the nicest person. i go here all the time and have a great time with all employees because i treat them like a friend not a slave cooking and serving for me. meat lovers this is your place..however i know many vegetarians who go here. all you have to do is be specific. NO MEAT PLEASE. Not that hard. over all i love this place i recommend it to all.

Food went down hill

The food went down hill. I had the smothered bean and cheese burrito with rice and beans, which you think you can?t go to wrong with. The food seemed like it was last weeks left over?s. Won?t be going back.

Horrible

Okay, as you can tell from my screen name, I moved here from Phoenix. I have been trying out the mexican food here in UT and this was the worst one. The waitress was rude and charged me for everything. I asked for a side of cheese (there was none on my burrito) and she told me it would be $1.50?, I can't remember. She charged me for the lettuce and PACKAGED sour cream I got for my daughter. It was ridiculous. I ended up leaving after a couple bites of my food. I will never go there again!

Best smothered burritos!!

Their smothered burritos are to DIE for!!! They are the perfect spicyness, always served hot out of the oven, they are huge. Service is okay, nothing great. I had to ask for a refill. They charge for every little thing. I always feel like they are talking about the customers in Spanish. Owner/Manager tried to rip me off! He tried to turn a "0" into a "6" on my ticket so I would overpay $6. What a creep!!

Rude Staff.

The Manager is very rude and the food suck's..I will never go back and they charge you for every little thing and you only get 1 refill on soda.lol

The owner is sooooo rude he is not welcoming to little one's and will treat you like trash of the earth if they drop a thing on the floor or make a noise,and he will count the empty glasses on your table to make sure you did not get more than one refill(that is the refill limit)and the food is sooooooo greasy and heavy,you will leave feeling like you just ate a side of beef..watch out for the short fat man.
