Great food, a little ridiculous pricing on sides of dressing, but other than that not much negative to say/
Pros: good food
Cons: long lines, charges too much for sides of Tomatilio

When I want a burrito, I go to Cafe' Rio and order the shredded beef burrito enchilada style (black beans, hot sauce please!). The food is consistently good even if there is a wait. I've started ordering "to go" so I can waltz in and grab my burrito and go back to work without waiting in the line... I know people get irritated by waiting but I'd much rather wait for good food than go somwhere that's empty and have bad food.
Pros: Good value, friendly staff, consistent food
Cons: Lines can be long

Though the food is edible, it is light fare. If you want spicy, this is not the place for you. The food is very Americanized. Too much salad and not enough traditional fare.
Cons: Slow, Too Tex Mex

Unfortunately, Café Rio is a victim of its own success. They have become so desensitized to the sheer volume of their business that they are cavalier about turning away business. Try a lunch-time phone in. The message will tell you all the things you cant do. If/when you reach a live person again, apathetic and desensitized to the guest. While we love the food, this is a very easily copied business model. Bring on the competition. Oh by the way, they are almost paranoid that someone with take this idea. No cameras, the staff will make you feel unwelcome if you are taking it all in. Sorry folks, what started as a great mom-n-pop concept has clearly outgrown the level of expertise of the operators. We don't mind waiting but remember this: competition is coming! We hope!
Pros: Fair Value, Good overall food
Cons: , Attitude, Consistency

At most times of the day you'll find yourself at the end of a very long line when you walk inside a Cafe Rio. Some people tend to be discouraged by that, but not me. I find it comforting, actually. I think any place that is so popular you have an inevitable 20 minute wait in line must be a winner. Cafe Rio's food tends to lean towards the "fresh mex" trend, and in my opinion, it's the leader in that category. So yes, I will file through the cattle corral-like line like everyone before me, because Cafe Rio is always crowded, and always worth it.

MY WIFE AND I USE TO GO 3 TIMES A WEEK, WE LOVED IT AND DONT MIND THE LINES WITHIN REASON (20 MIN) FOR AWHILE THOUGH WE THINK THE FOOD QUALITY IS COME DOWN A BIT , MAINLY WITH THE CHICKEN BURRITO , IT JUST DOESN'T TASTE THE SAME AS WHEN IT OPENED . WE STILL GO BUT JUST NOT AS MUCH . STILL THE BEST MEXICAN IN TOWN

All that can be said is wow. This place has got the easy, casual, but amazing food down to an art. The salads are amazing especially with your choice of meats. And the faijita chicken tacos are to die for. Plus it's not over priced. I recommend this to anyone and everyone.
Pros: inexpensive, take out, accessability
Cons: crowded at times

Well worth the wait. Fresh tortillas and ingredients. Hearty portions and fair prices. Try the pork burrito served enchilada style with chips and salsa. It'll treat you right. Expect a bit of a wait in line though--because everyone knows how good this place is!
