So I needed a cheap hotel to stay at during Sundance, and this place seemed to fit the bill. My only deterrent was all of the negative reviews this place has gotten on Yelp, Expedia, Google-compiled reviews... just about everywhere. But I've stayed at other locations in the Days Inn chain before, and I figured it couldn't be as bad as everything I was reading. So I gave it a try. Bear in mind, I was really only sleeping here, but I had nothing less than an extremely satisfying experience. It's not a Waldorf Astoria or a Park Hyatt, obviously. But the rate was rock-bottom (the rules here say I can't cite a specific rate or my review won't get posted), and here's what I got: - Very clean room - Comfortable bed - Microwave, refrigerator, daily coffee in my room and a free breakfast buffet - HBO on the TV - Super-convenient location (right next to I-15, but there is a sound barrier that blocked all expressway noise) - Friendly and helpful staff I'm not a habitual online review poster. I don't review products I buy, or places I stay, or anything, really. But all of the terrible reviews of this place frankly made me nervous in the several days leading up to my vacation. I'm here to say, "Don't be nervous. The Days Inn SLC is good people."
I'd been staying at the hellish nightmare a few blocks away called Intown Suites. The Days Inn is not that much more expensive than an extended stay hotel if you think about the taxes and all the extra fees tacked on. I loved the location - 3300 south is very practical if you're by foot or in a car. It's not a pretty neighborhood, but it isn't criminal; just industrial. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking, near public transit, interstate, major roads with restaurants. ATM inside; indoor pool; computer in lobby works but it's also Wifi so if the wireless internet isn't working, neither is the lobby computer. I just wish my room had been made up even once during that week.
This hotel is conveniently located right off of I-15. The drive to Park City (2002 Winter Olympic Site) and the Great Salt Lake was reasonable from this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful with directions and family eating establishments within the area. The pool, hot tub, and laundry facilities were in excellent condition and open late. The continental breakfast was adequate; nothing more or less than most other hotels. If we are ever in the vacinity again, we will return to this hotel.
We stayed at this days inn for two nights, when we chekd in the room was clean. the hot tub and pool was very clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was not fancy but was very good had waffle eggs, fruits and muffins.people working there were friendly. we decided to extend our stay rest of the month at this hotel.what could we expect more than a clean room, enjoyable stay with friendly people there.
I had very bad experience in previous motel where i stayed last week. So, i was extra cautious to choose hotel to stay. I requested to show me room before i rent it.After seeing couple of rooms i choose to stay near by the office. The door did not opened on first time but the front desk guy helped me, it was sweet of him. The room was clean. i had cup of coffee in room. I went to have dinner in the evening at Apolo Burger place, i loved their burger. I had very good sleep at that night. I would recommend this motel. I will definitely stay there again.
Due to my employment had to move to SLC, UT without any tipe of notice, during my first two weeks I'd to stay in a different hotel which I was not impressed with at all.
After driving, calling around, had the chance to get a quote from Days Inn not only they are friendly but from the housekeeper to the General Manager they go out of their way to always meet my expectations. Had a flat tire on a occasion, one of the maintance people without me asking and dropping what he was doing took the flat tire run the the tire place and had it fix for me. Thats going the extra mile, I am planning a family reunion here in SLC and without a doubt I will book a room for every single one of my family members at the Days Inn Hotel.
A very nice property and location off the I-15 freeway south Salt Lake Uyah. Management was professional and very attentive. The price was in my budget and that made it even more pleasurable.
The breakfast buffet was exceptional. And the presentation was organised, clean and had everything anyone would want. From bagels, muffins.and a complette set up for making your own waffles.with a waffle iron. Who could ask for more.?!
I would definitely recommend Collision Authority to others anytime. I have been very satisfied with all the services they have done to my vehicle.
The free continental breakfast is fresh and prepared the way a hot meal should be. It's the little things that business' do for their guests that count for me. You truly have captured that in my eyes and I will stay here again while passing through.
