THE GYM IS OK. THEIR POLICIES ARE HORRIBLE!!!. My wife and I had memberships for 3 years.

The gym is alright. The basement is a dungeon with no windows, but it was cheap. I also liked that I could 'cancel anytime'

Planet fitness had no problem taking our monthly membership fees. However, after we moved, we learned that their 'cancel anytime' cancelation policy actually requires an in-person visit or a certified letter.

After explaining my situation to the billing office I was told that they would not even consider bending their policy.

I'm sorry, but any company who requires an in-person visit or a certified letter to cancel a recurring billing subscription is a scam.

Since they require an in-person visit or a certified letter to cancel, I have come up with only one explanation for their policy. They must be afraid that I'm going to cancel the gym membership of my arch-nemesis so he gets flabby & girls stop liking him?

Planet Fitness - We'll take your money when your dead unless you send us a certified letter from the grave.

Let this be formal written posted public notice of my wish to cancel member #s 15490 and 15571

Eh, It's Alright.. It's an okay gym. For $10 a month, what do you expect? It's really convenient, however parking can be a hassle. I guess there is a lot about a block away where members can park. I prefer to go in the evening, so I can find a spot on the street.

They need wi-fi. The basement doesn't have phone signals, and the equipment that I"ve seen at Golds Gym that have individual TV's in the cardio equipment would be nice.
