Worst Bridal Shop!. I had been to several other shops before and had a lovely time interacting with the owners of the stores. However, Fairy Godmother's was completely the opposite. The owner is rude, pushy, treats you like a child, and is offended if you don't like a part of one of her dresses. Her demeanor and attitude was completely unprofessional when I told her I did not like an element of the dress. Mind you I am the customer and she asked what I did not like. She pointed out flaws in my body to make things worse. She lacked care and consideration when telling me to undress (this was in front of her and two sales women with the curtain to the room open.) I am not a super modest person, but I can dress myself and do not appreciate having to strip on command. All in all the experience was awful and I hope no one else has to go through this when they are looking for their wedding dress.

Terrible place to look for a wedding dress. I am certain that Fairy Godmother's Bridal either gives people discounts for writing "nice" reviews, or she writes them herself for this site. Several other sites contain critical reviews for the store. I can't post direct links, but look up weddingwire "dot com", and search Fairy Godmother's Bridal.

Below is my original post. Honestly, if you're a woman who has a mind of her own, you do NOT want to go to Fairy Godmother's Bridal!!!

There are other sites as well. Be VERY leery of her and her shop. Below is the original review I wrote.

Godmother's Bridal is NOT where you want to go to find a wedding dress. I went there with my mother and a bride's maid but left after enduring 15 minutes of non-stop bullying by the incredibly rude owner. Here are a few things that happened:

*She sent me to a dressing room and my mother and bride's maid to the lounge area while SHE picked out the dresses I was to try on. Apparently a) picking out dresses is too complicated a task for a bride to be and b) she knows better what the bride to be should try on.

*She walked into my dressing room (without asking first) and invited her two assistants in (also without asking me how I felt about it) while I was undressing. When I complained, she told me her store does not allow clients to dress themselves. This was not an issue at any other store--did I mention she is a control freak?

*She told me I had to wear a bustier. When I told her I didn't want to wear a bustier--she basically told me she was not interested in my opinion (clearly, her's is the only opinion that matters.)

*She made rude comments about my figure ('nough said.)

*When I got the first dress on (the only one I tried on), she asked me my opinion. When I told her I didn't like it, she became irate and defensive.

That's when we decided to leave.

I did see all the dresses that she had picked out for me and I can honestly say that there was nothing special or unique about them. Going to Fairy Godmother's Bridal is not worth being bullied.

When I got home, I looked up some reviews about Fairy Godmother's Bridal and found several (on other sites) that described similar situations. The lady that owns this store is rude, unprofessional and down right mean--stay clear of her store. There are so many wonderful places in SLC, it's amazing to me she hasn't gone out of business.

Beautiful wedding dress. I just had to tell you thank you for my beautiful wedding dress. Everyone said how beautiful it was and that it fit my personality so well. My groom was especially pleased. I am so glad we found you. We will surely refer all of our friends to you. P.S. My mom said to tell you the dress washed up beautifully.
