Mitchy Poo... I love my tattoooooo!!!. As a tattoo enthusiast, I pride myself on being very particular with who tattoos what I call my 'sacred canvas'. I am so pleased to have found my DaVinci at Mutiny Ink. When I walked into the shop, Mitch was prompt to help discuss the idea I had for my tattoo. I was very impressed with this part of the process as he listened completely to my idea before making any further suggestions to my piece where I'd been in a few other shops in the past that had told me my tattoo idea just wasn't 'tattoo material'. He did offer his opinion on some things to make the piece cleaner, however, I never felt pushed into getting a tattoo that really wasn't what I had envisioned before I went to the shop. As far as cleanliness goes, the shop is very well kept and I had no worries about being tattooed there. Hoping to see Mutiny Ink grow as a business, I do want to make a few suggestions that I feel will benefit them. Had I not just had a free afternoon to go walk State Street and walk into Mutiny on a whim, I probably never would have noticed its presence. The outside and insides do not look BAD, however, there is a ton of space inside and huge windows that are in desperate need of some decor, lights, and most of all... more artwork! It is just very bare and I feel that the huge asset of having such open space should allow a more creative and inviting atmosphere. And lastly, after getting my tattoo, I wanted to see some more of Mitch's artwork on Mutiny's website... according to their website, the address listed with this review is where they're still located... and Mitch doesn't even have a portfolio on the site, and nothing seems to have been updated in awhile. I help manage a business, and I know how crucial the web is as a reflection of a service or good offered. For all those looking to be tattooed at Mutiny Ink, their CURRENT address is 1594 South State Street. I really hope to see this updated soon as it does no justice to all the great artwork coming out of Mutiny Ink. Overall, very very very happy with my new tattoo. Thank you Mitch! I'll be back soon. And I won't be a 'sissy lala' this time... ha ha ha.
