Very Disappointing. I went to this salon because I got a Groupon. I was very excited to get a new color. I took in a picture of what I wanted, and told her my price range. My color was nothing that I requested. (I wanted to go dark, and it was a brassy gold color, and she didn't even cover my old highlights, so I had grown out highlights with gold hair! Ugh!) To make it worse, I had to pay a HUGE amount in addition to my Groupon, and then my color faded about a week later. The service was friendly, but I will never return because of the horrible experience I had on my hair. I definitely do NOT recommend this salon.

Great Salon. Melinda is the most knowledgeable stylist I have ever met. i wouldn't go anywhere else, and i've recommended Highlfe to all my girl who-are- friends.

Very poor treatment. Owner Melinda Ashley seemed to do a good cut the first time I went to her, but continually pushed, pushed, pushed me to buy shampoo, $50 conditioning treatments (that can be bought for $5 on ebay) and services I didn't want. When through several appointments I continued to politely resist anything except haircuts, she became visibly angry and gave me a such a careless cut that I still needed a haircut when I got home. At the last appointment she kept walking away from the chair as I was trying to describe the haircut I wanted, and was so angry at the end of the appointment that I wouldn't buy her extras that she took my money plus 20% tip without saying thank you or goodbye. Can't believe this place is even open.

Great cuts very poor service. I love the way my hair was done by Melinda. However, the customer service was extremely poor. I have had numerous occasions of the stylist being late or even forgetting that we had an appointment.

Example: great place for good bread.
One of the best salons in town.
Great crew, great owners: friendly, stylish, great with cuts, colors, and the best eyebrow tinting.
Bonus is the location on vibrant 300 South.
Atmosphere is hip: there's always new art on the walls, and Bumble and Bumble products. They'll make you look pretty pretty or push it punk rock.
