This Place is heavenly.
OK, WOW. Where to begin? Everything, and I do mean EVerything was FABULOUS! I had put off trying this place because even though everyone I know has gone there and raved about it (it seems like I
still can't go to a party and not overhear someone talk about how fabulous Tin Angel is) I just figured it couldn't be all that. In Utah? So, we tried to go over the summer and made the mistake of not making a reservation so we didn't get in. This should have clued me in that I realy was missing something. I finally made it backt there last Saturday night (of course I called ahead and reserved a table). From the moment we pulled in to the parking lot (yes, they have one of those) to the time we left we were floored. I can't believe Salt Lake has a place this great. It should be on the news. Headline: "Suddenly SLC is hip!"
I loved the live music, the art on the walls, the friendly staff, the menu had such a range of prices I am surprised that anyone is complaining...there is a pasta dish for 10$, tapas for $4 and prices in the mid-range all the way up to high end entrees. Seriously if you can't find a meal to fit your budget in there somewhere you aren't trying. We had 5 courses including tapas, small plates, entree, and a bottle of wine and dessert for 2 people and got out for around $150. Puh-leeze. that is totally reasonable. I tipped the live musician and walked out with a cd too! The food was heavenly! subtle flavors abound and the server knew his way around the wine and the menu too. All in all I think they have a new regular on their hands....soon they'll be saying "oh here comes Salty Sarah again....watch out!" I am going to bring all my office girls there for lunch next week!…
pretentious crowd, bad food. Went here for lunch. I ordered the $11.00 turkey panini. (not kidding) The flavor of which was far inferior to a Chevron pre-wrapped sandwich with a touch of garbage. The patrons seemed pretentious. As if eating overpriced bad food was the price to pay to look hip in a trendy craphole. Save your money. There's a better place practically next door. The Homeless Shelter...the conversation is far more stimulating and the smell is more tolerable.…
OK Food not worth the price. I ate here two and a half years ago and remembered enjoying it. I went back last night and was sadly disappointed. I love the concept but the food is VERY much lacking. It sounds great on the menu but doesn't deliver. It's like expecting a gourmet pasta dish and getting Kraft Mac n' Cheese instead. For the prices I'd expect more but the quality just isn't there. Don't waste your time here until they improve the food.…
not bad. food was good. no room to relax or to enjoy yourself. service ok, servers looked ratty, not clean. Expensive. maybe get food to go...
perfection in an unpretentious ambience. Perfection. Unexpected herbs, spices, and sauces combined with anywhere from single bites to full dinners makes the menu fulfill the dining wishes of every type of foodie. The ambience is relaxed and casual. Ten minutes into our first dining experience at the Tin Angel, we made reservations to return. Webster never had such amazing cuisine - no words exist to describe such an exquisite complex taste experience.…
