Review of Cafe Zupas 400 South SLC - Don't Bother. I tried out the new Cafe Zupas on 400 South SLC. This is the first time I have every been to a Cafe Zupas and I was impressed with the menu. Well at least it looked good on paper.

I was with a group of friends and we tried a sampling of the soups, sandwiches and salads.

As for food we found the soups tasty, but lacking in anything but broth. There was no substance to the soups. The panini was good, but the salad was a complete failure. The salad dressings were all sugar laden and again, there was not much substance to the salad except for lettuce.

What really got us was how pushy the ordering process was. I don't know who is managing this location, but everyone is way too gun ho! We were there to chill, not get pushed around during the order process. It was to the point of being obnoxious and rude. We wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Once out of site of the order/production line of barely passable food, we found the clean up staff to be polite and respected our desire to be left alone to enjoy conversation.

Cafe Zupas is in a area of much better fast fare. I highly recommend you skip this place.
