Draper >Aroma Fine Indian Cuisine
I love this place!.
I absolutely LOVE Aroma! We have been dining at Aroma since they opened several years ago. At first we were a little hesitant because we had never tried Indian food before, but they were so helpful with explaining the menu and choosing delicious dishes for us to try. I have never had a dish that I didn't like. We have gotten to know the owners and they are so sweet and such genuinely good people! They buy all of their food fresh every day and really go the extra mile to make their food exceptional.
I know some of the reviews state that the service is slow, etc. But keep in mind this is a family run business and believe me, the food is worth the wait! If you haven't tried Indian food before, I highly recommend starting at Aroma, after you do, you won't want to go anywhere else! Also, make sure your order extra because the food tastes even better the next day!
Best Indian Food in the Salt Lake Valley.
It starts when you walk through the door.... the smell of the spice, the soft Indian music and then the wonderful decor. I've never been to India but I feel like I visit the country every time I walk into Aroma!
Hands down the best Indian cuisine I've ever had. Everyone should try the incredible atmosphere and food at Aroma... after one visit you'll be hooked! :)
The entree was ok, and the naan was nothing special. The real bummer was that when I checked my credit card statement the next week they had overcharged me by $8 AFTER they had refused to take my CityDeals coupon. (Our meal was ~$28, the coupon required a minimum order of $35, and the credit card reported I was charged $34.99. Go figure..)
I'd probably give them another shot if they weren't trying to rip people off.
Great Evening Out in Draper!.
This was my first visit to Aroma and I was impressed!
My husband and I had a fantastic evening with my parents, sister and cousin at Aroma. We started off with Samosas, which were wonderful and then naan, garlic naan, onion naan and pandeer naan - AMAZING! I had the butter chicken and my husband had the lamb curry... again, fantatstic! It was a bit pricey, but I am willing to pay a little more for good food rather than pay less for mediocre flavor. The service was not fast, but we weren't in a hurry and enjoyed the time to savor the flavors and each other's company.
If you are looking for a place to get great food and a place to spend an evening out, check out Aroma! It just moved to the top of my favorite places in Draper.
Curry in a Hurry on steroids. When one experiences such tastes, what can one one say but 'Aroma'. Tantamount to Chuck-O-Rama. This is not fine Indian cuisine. The cheap decor made from styrofoam spray-painted to appear as wood and gold is a fair representation of the cafe's authenticity. At least if a piece broke off an fell on me, it wouldn't hurt. Chandeliers in a cafe? A bit pretentious? It seemed the owners were more focused on their endeavors to impress far beyond their abilities rather than serving good food. It seemed more like Sysco boil-in-bag with Costco Indian spices rather than honest to goodness authentic Indian fare. Not bad, but not good either. After the experience, I am certain of one thing: The hour I spent there is an hour of my life I will never get back. One star.
Amazing Indian Food at Good Prices!. I used to work at an Indian restaurant, so I'm very familiar with the food. Aroma offers really top-notch quality at reasonable prices. If you go during the weekdays, for example, they have a meal that feeds 4 for $20.00. Not per person--total! Fantastic! The lunch buffet is good, if not spectacular, but the evening meal is worth every penny! For those who enjoy the combination of sweet and salty, I recommend the peshwari naan with coconut lamb korma. The service was fabulous; even when my husband and I came in at 20 minutes to closing we were greeted cheerfully and quickly!
Delicious new dining option in Draper!.
What a wonderful find in Draper! Delicious food with excellent service. The curry dishes are fabulous and the Lamb Curry is both flavorful and tender. You can order the curry as mild or hot as you like. The Lamb Boti Kabab Masala is also a favorite. The wine list is simple yet offers variety, the beer list is great, and the atmosphere gives you the sense of escaping your daily grind and relaxing someplace new.
Give Aroma a try the next time you are looking for something delicious and let's help keep great new dining options such as Aroma in Draper!
