BEST NYC STYLE PIZZA in SLC!. I am a East Coast Girl from NYC moved here and visit NYC, every fall and Este Pizzeria is the CLOSEST to NYC style pizza in SLC! My husband and our two teenage daughters LOVE ESTE! We go there at least 3-4 times a month! We have always had GREAT service and GREAT food!! :) You guys ROCK!! - WE GO TO THE DOWNTOWN LOCATION. :)
Those that are whining and saying its not authentic....
Probably eat RANCH with your pizza. One. FRUIT DOESN'T BELONG ON PIZZA. Two. Where on earth is it acceptable *besides Utah* to eat pizza with a fork and knife? Thats ridiculous! Helloooooooo you fold it in half and eat it. I salute those people who work here and DON'T put up with your Utah crap.
Third. This place is pretty much the closest thing to New York pizza i've found in Utah while living here. I'm from New York and honestly i thought this food was great, those of you that gave it a one star are either a. ignorant b. impatient or c. had a bad experience. Unless you've lived in New York and tried various pizzas at various places you can't really call this bad or not authentic or even posersh. If its really THAT bad stick to your little caesars and five buck pizza just don't give this place a BAD NAME because you're used to eating cardboard with a cheese like substance on it smothered in ranch with maybe oh ten pepperonis. (:
By the way the owner is a super nice guy, talk to HIM if you have a compliant and stop trying to scare other people away.
great pizza, some of the best in town. this is the closest pizza to authentic ny style pizza that you'll find in town. I go to the downtown location as well, I like the slices that are ready to go. it's gooood pizza, thanks.
Best Pizza in Utah HANDS DOWN. I take it all of you writing bad reveiws that you must be from Utah. You probably eat RANCH on your pizza. Get real. If you are from New York or ever been there you would know that this is authentic NY style pizza. As for the Owner, very down to earth and a pleasure to have a conversation with. I went for the first time in March. I have been back three times and many more to come. Now for all of you that don't know what REAL PIZZA is go back to whatever crappy chain pizza joint you like and stay there.
good. Just off 2100s its fast and easy to get to. I went in for a second time and was pleasently suprised, the pizza was steaming hot and service was great.
pizza the way it should be. Este makes NY style pizza. Dummies, please don't confuse with napoletana style pizza like lombardi's or pepe's. Granted some concessions must have been made to be in utah, it seems quite apparent that they have stuck to their guns and made authentic NY style pizza, no matter what. The plain pie is the best, but add some garlic or anchovies to boost the pizza through the atmosphere!! This place is the best in utah by far.
We've never been disappointed. The previous posts bashing the restaurant have not been our experience on many visits. We've been greeted promptly and received attentive service. Our food has been cooked exactly as specified. The fried ravioli are a nice starter, although our teenagers could make a meal out of them. The pepperoni pizza is our fav. The dough is slightly sweet which is different and we like it. We rotate our pizza joints and Este is consistently on the rotation.
Bad, Bad, Bad.
I almost have to laugh at the two previous posts. Obviously the owner is trying to recover his name. Check out the comments on this establishments other location listed a few pages back, they pretty much sum up my experience. This establishment lacks any customer service, if you expect to be valued because you paid SOOOOO much for your food, you would be wrong.
I'm not sure where to begin; food was WAY late, 1:45min to be exact, cost of the pizza for what you actually receive is a JOKE, & no customer service.
Called to see what?s up because I was throwing a party and I was totally disrespected on the phone and they hung up on me??? Can't believe I actually had to type that. Once the food arrived well after it was promised it was awful. My assumptions are that my food spent that 1:45 minutes sitting somewhere while they were rude to there customers.
I can?t say it enough, go someplace else that actually wants your hard earned money because this place clearly does not.
Don't buy the owner/managers comments below, clearly the two other postings are more advertising than actual customer comments.
Undercooked, doughy and completely disappointing. This pizza was absolutely disgusting. Even considering the options in Utah, this is absurdly ridiculous. Granted, we do not have the best options in this great state, but you can definitely find something acceptable. We ordered garlic knots and when they arrived, we had to pull the dough apart -- not only had it not cooked, it had not been given a chance to RISE (I will probably get some type of Ebola soon) . We were hoping to get a nice New York style thin crust, but what we found was under-cooked crust and cheese, minus the sauce. I deeply lament the taste in my mouth at this moment, and even more, I regret supporting such a poser "authentic" business. Boo to this quote "restaurant."
