This was my first visit to Baxter's, and I would recommend it highly! I loved the menu, I loved the decor -- the food was excellent, the service was impeccable. We went for brunch, loved it, and asked to look at a dinner menu so we could plan our next visit! We were a group of five and had The Ranchero, the Maryland Benedict, the Biscuits, Eggs and Sausage Gravy, the Steak and Eggs, and A Truly Great Hamburger. We were all delighted with our respective meals, and I for one LOVE being able to order eggs over-hard and have them arrive perfectly done -- not a bit runny, but also not cooked to a crisp and difficult to chew. The steak and the hamburger were cooked perfectly to order. There was delicious fresh fruit served with the egg dishes -- excellent quality. Everything was perfect! The only suggestion I would make is to provide more vegetarian options. I myself am not vegetarian, but I have several friends and family who are -- and they are not people I would choose to bring to this restaurant, fearing their food choices would be too limited. I considered docking a star for this, but in the end, I just couldn't do it -- this place is definitely worth a visit! Overall, a big bravo! I will be back! I can't wait to see what the "suave gravy" is all about! <gg>

We had our company party at the Depot and before cocktails we decided to try Baxter's. Baxter's has a better Fillet than Spencer's or Flemmings and it only cost $21.95. The room looks great and the entire staff is friendly. Very different for Salt Lake City. We have now been back three times and each time the restaurant manager has come by our table to make sure we were doing well. What a great touch. Baxter's Brunch is fun and perfect for food and Sunday shopping. The Summer menu prices are much better than before. We will be back.
