Extra Mile and Beyond!.
We purchased a new Honda Civic in 2007. We have been trhilled with our purchase and the vetran sales staff was great. We have always taken it to Larry H Miller for service and they have been so good that we decided to take our 99 Toyota 4 Runner there for our oil changes.
On a 4 runner there is an extra plate that must be removed or you will have oil dripping for days, making a huge mess. Since this is Honda and not Toyota, maybe they did not know this... so I mentioned it the 2nd time I took it in. When I got home and looked in the driveway I noticed oil spots again. I was very frustrated that I had another mess to clean up. I called the supervisor, she said do you want me to come clean your garage floor? At first I though WTH? I thought she was joking. She was not! She brought the main service tech and the maintenance person that made the error out to my home, about 15 miles away from the shop. They cleaned my garage and under the vehicle - then gave me a freebie detail certificate!
I know that as humans we make mistakes but customer service is to me how you react to your mistake...That was unbelievable service in my mind! We will continue taking both of our vehicles there for service.
