This place has recently gone through
some renovations and updates and I can't believe the difference it has made. Along with great dance floors that play the best music, they now offer a full time restaurant! Great food, drinks and music makes for a great time here.
If you are looking to party in Salt Lake City, UT this is the place to be.
Such a crap hole. The cover is rediculous, the drinks are awful. The bartenders don't know what they're doing. Tons of fights. The staff is EXTREMELY rude and arrogant. I will never go to this club again. Don't waste your time. Every month my girlfirends and I do girls night out, all 15 of us. Gorgeous girls from everywhere- models, pageant queens, ets. And ALL of us were completely unimpressed and left. DO NOT waste your time.
Don't use your Credit or Debit card.
I have tried several times to give this place a chance to be honest to its Credit/Debit Card users and every time they tack on an additional fee. Some times it is only a few cents, sometimes it is dollar or two but I went on Saturday night and purchased drinks with my card & sure enough they added an additional $4.40 to my bill... I have spoke to others about this issue and they as well have had this problem.
Love the place, but they are stealing $ from their customers.
It was alright. I enjoyed the upstairs dance floor but the DJ likes to switch the songs every 30 seconds just when you are getting into it. They overcharge for drinks at $9 a drink. The tenders were nice but I think for 9 bucks it shoulda had some magic in it. I think I will stick with Scallywags on state :)
Only place to be downtown. Best Parties & DJs.. I was there at the newly remodeled Opium Lounge last friday for Baby Anne. She is my favorite house DJ I can't believe they brought her to SLC! The music was insane and the party never stopped. I had a great time, they even had bottle service and huka available. I will definitely be going back.
Best Salt Lake Nightclub.
The Hotel Bar & Nightclub is the best nightclub in SLC. 4 floors throughout the building with something different on each one. This is the place to be on the weekend with the best music, events and people. The weekdays are great too! With live bands, arcade night where you can play your favorite video games & the best Ladies Night in town!
You should definitely check out the Hotel Bar and Nightclub!
Hotel or Elevate???. So I'm never sure which place I was in because they are connected. Other than over priced drinks, and rude patrons this place is great for dancing. I've been there plenty of times and have always enjoyed myself. My main complaint is the location of bathrooms and getting the attention of a bartender on the bigger side of the club. But overall I would go back.
Worst. Bar. Ever. - not worth the $5 cover - 0 stars.
I went to the Hotel bar with high expectations that were most certainly not met even before I got through the door. Having gone to see a very respected internatinal DJ (Mr. Christpher Lawrence) I was baffled upon arriving to hear some annoying "rap"; not the tell-tale UNS UNS of electronic music eminating from the front door as I had expected. I had to ask one of the fo-hawk sporting (I think it was a prerequisite) employees if I had the right place. After entering, the red lights made me instantly unnerved. Still wondering if I had the right place, I wandered all the way to the back of the bar, whereupon I finally got my first hint of the UNS UNS UNS I so desperatly craved at that point. My girlfriend and I entered the room and started to get into it, when things got out of hand. Some very drunk girl got in a fight with one of the not-so sttractive gogo dancers and ran over to tell the security guard about it. She was causing quite a scene so I looked up at the DJ booth and then I heard a crash and my g/f was like oh my god that bouncer just pushed that girl to the floor! I dont know exactly what happened as I didnt see it, but whatever happened it was not a great way to start the night. We then walked back out into the front room, where we stopped for 3 seconds in the too narrow hallway and were instantly accosted by another fo-hawk sporting punk who informed us we couldnt stand there. Then i tried to find the bathroom and took a wrong turn into the kitchen and was yet again ratherly rudely told that the bathroom was the other way. I tried to go get my groove on to CL but it was just no use.. about 5 people were dancing (to the #4 DJ in the world..), the whole crowd was trashy and unfriendly, people kept bumping into me, everyone was way to drunk....
basically I left after about 30 minutes in disgust and wish I had my $5 back. You couldnt pay me to go back to the hotel bar and I hope they go out of buisness.
Pretty Boy/ Gangsta central. This place is alright on weekdays. As soon as the weekend rolls around steer clear. Its seems as though there are always people lookin for trouble there.
