For about 4 months I had a dull pain on the right side of my body where my ovaries are located. The pain I was experiencing was very uncomfortable but somewhat manageable. However, 2 weeks ago the pain had become excruciating and on Wednesday July 11th it also transferred to the right side of my lower back. This rendered me completely unable to bend and at times even walk. I feared the worst, ovarian cancer was on my mind all the time. My friend suggested to get a massage but initially I just laughed off. At around 5pm however I said to myself, what the heck, what I've got to lose? That late into the day I couldn't see a doctor unless I drove myself to U of U emergency room. I Googled the closest place to my Avenues house where I could get a massage without appointment. Avenues Day Spa was the first one I called. I explained that I was in horrible pain in the front and now in the back of the right side of my lower body and that I wanted to first try a massage before I go to the emergency room that night. I was told that this spa is by appointment only however the lady who answered the phone said that this time she will make an exception and that I could come any time till 7pm. I dragged myself into my car and within only 10 minutes I was laying on the massage table thanks to the massage therapist Amy who was so kind to help me out of my car and then actually put me on the massage table. Amy was really attentive and soft spoken. When I told her where the pain was coming from she said that just by touching my lower back she already knew where the problem was. She then proceeded to work on my whole body. Amy is amazing! She is so in tuned with blockages of energy in the body! I've gotten lots of massages in the past from random places in town but till Amy worked on me I've never experienced such an improvement. During and immediately after the massage not only I was very relaxed but I also have noticed that approximately 70% of my pain from right lower part of my body was gone! First I thought that the whole thing was just a placebo effect .The next morning, I realized that I was completely pain free!!!!! This was not a placebo, this was real. Oh boy, am I really glad that I've listened to my friend and got the massage that day. Since getting the massage from Amy there is no more pain whatsoever !!!! I jokingly told my friend that my root chakra was out of whack and that thanks to Amy, the massage therapist, I feel really connected to what is and not living in my head anymore. I really don't care whether chakras do exist or whether they are just another new age "discovery" borrowed from Hinduism and Buddhism. What I truly care about is how my body feels and when in pain I will always trust people like Amy who are so skillful in diagnosing and removing the causes of pain. Last Thursday, I got my second massage in the Avenues Day Spa from Amy. And from now on, I will always treat myself to a weekly massage from her because she is the best massage therapist I've met in 23 years. If you ever decide to get a massage and get immediate results, I would highly recommend using Amy at Avenues Day Spa

Great Facial. I went here a few years ago and got a wrap and facial. Honestly I didn't like the wrap, but that is because I'm a big girl and the towels didn't reach around me very well so I was cold instead of warm like I should be. The facial was great-I don't remember the process that much, but the results of the facial was great-my skin has never looked so good. It was perfect to do that on my anniversary so I looked great that night!

Another place we like in the neighborhood. I went here for a facial and some waxing, the lady I had was really nice and she was great in helping me with picking a facial and she did good with my brows...thanks

we had a really nice time and the products are good. We had a great time here for our afternoon. got massages and facials and pedicures, it was nice and the products for the facials is some of the best i've used. it was a good time, thanks

Got a gift card for father's day, awesome massage. my daughters know that when summer hits and i start running regularly again, i like to get a sports massage or deep tissue, something that helps me with sore muscles as i'm getting older. they got me a gift for father's day and i used it yesterday, it was a great massage. thanks, and i'll be going back here again.

wonderfully rejuvenating. i visited the avenues day spa a month ago after returning from an exhausting month of touring. i received the first massage i had ever had and found it to be completely relaxing and invigorating. the environment of the building, the friendliness of the employees, the services rendered, and the music all provided a memorable experience. i also received a very relaxing pedicure following my massage. i will definitely recommend this day spa to any of my friends. i would like to stress the level of comfort i felt with the employees at the day spa. i left the experience feeling socially satisfied; almost as if i had just acquired new friends. i would like to thank those who work at the avenues day spa for providing me with a wonderfully rejuvenating experience.

great waxing and facials. i started for my typical waxing, they are close in my neighborhood, i like the girl i use there alot. i've also gotten a facial here and really liked the results i got, great thanks!!!!

nice facial and the products worked well. everyone there was very nice and pleasant and the facial was just what i was looking for...they have a glycolic facial if you are looking for something a little more agressive to clear up your face, that's what i ended up doing. (also, a review station set-up to make it easy to write this and get a free-bee, like i did!!!) Thank You!

great sports massage. i'll be going back, the massage lady did an outstanding job! i'm a swimmer at the U and need a really good massage occasionally, this girl is excellent!
