My favorite Thai restaurant. Thankfully my husband and I heard about this restaurant on the radio 4 yrs ago. Our favorite ethnic cuisine is Thai. I would say we're pretty picky about our food, especially my husband as his favorite place to visit is Thailand. Out of all the restaurants in Salt Lake City & surrounding areas, Thai Orchid is our favorite. They have never disappointed us, b/c they are always consistent, the food is always fresh and it always makes our mouths water. I have been so disappointed with other restaurants where they're good from the get go, but then the quality starts deteriorating. I think also you can tell a lot about the cleanliness of the kitchen by visiting their restrooms. Their restrooms and entire restaurant is always spotless.…
Wonderful for lunch!. Went to Thai Orchid for the first time today. Best Thai lunch I've had in ages. Had the green curry and the pad ga prow. Good and spicy, with wonderful flavors throughout. Wonderful service and very reasonable prices.This is definitely our new Thai lunch spot!…
Great Staff, Great Food. This is a great Thai resturant. The food is great and the staff are friendly and make the experience a good one. Have been going there every week with my parents and my children since they opened.
Tiny portions. We ordered takeout. The food was alright. I ordered the Thom Ka Gai and the BBQ Pork. The pork was tough and rather bland. And it was paired with soy sauce? The biggest disappointment was the size of the lunch special. For $7.95, I expected twice as much food. I received a small scoop of rise, maybe 2 cups of soup, a small salad (that was fine), and 5 thumb-sized pieces of pork. All in all, I would have paid $4, possibly as much as $5 for the amount of food I received. Perhaps the portions for dining in are larger?…
Wonderful food and the customer service well exceeds expectations!. I love this restaurant! It is so good, I have been going there consistently for 2 years now, and I have never been dissapointed. I think that is pretty hard to find, even a lot of my favorite places have off days. Not Thai Orchid. We almost always get Curry Puffs, Green Curry and Pad Thai but I try different things every now and then and they are always good. The staff is so kind to and it is family owned. It is refreshing to go to a business and have the owners know you and be grateful for your patronage. The owner remembered us at our second visit. So the food is exceptional, the service is outstanding and it is very clean. I would highly recommend Thai Orchid to everyone!…
