A Superb Diner. This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. It can get crowded but they're usually well staffed so it doesn't take long to get seated. Finn's is a cute retro diner with a lot of character, I would definitely suggest it to anyone.

different kind of breakfast joint. Definitely carving its own niche market of breakfast/brunch. I like the variety of menu, which is why it's probably one of the most expensive breakfasts (which -unlike dinner- is still affordable at $12-$20 per person). Since it's pretty much a niche market, I can't really argue of overcharged (no competitors to compare against). Like the reviewer below said: wait staff are young, but compensated w/ attentiveness. One qualm though, I tried their schnitzel once and it sucked. Don't know if they ever fixed it, cuz I haven't ordered that again since.

scrumptious food with european cafe style. Eating at Finn's reminds me of eating at a comfortable European cafe. The food is excellent and not ordinary. Finn has made the effort to bring delicious Scandinavian food to Salt Lake City and has succeeded. He even whipped up a special mac and cheese for the three year old in our group, who commented, "This is great. Finn is a good guy." The wait staff is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, the outdoor seating is comfortable and fresh, and the food is, need i say it again, excellent. The marzipan latte was "over the top" delicious. Daily specials are unique and well priced. The entire menu is well priced. Heidi, the co-owner, makes it a point to ensure that all customers are well looked after and satisfied. What a great place!

A Hidden Jewel...not the regular boring experience, something special.. Well, just like the review title says, this cafe is a hidden jewel. It's not perfect, but what is?? On the plus side: fresh, clean food served by nice helpful staff. The inside of the cafe is stylish, especially the wood ceiling...that must have cost a little bit! The menu choices are not just the regular boring stuff. They have some very interesting dishes, I guess inspired by the family's European heritage. Someone said that the family is from Norway (maybe Sweden, I'm not sure).

On the other side: the cafe was *packed* when my girlfriend and I went, so the wait time was a little long. I'm not sure I can count that as a negative really...I mean it's not their fault the place is so popular. It was also a touch noisy, but it was fun to be in the middle of all the action. The place had a nice energy.

Anyway, the overall experience was fun, and this review is *definitely* positive. I just wish Salt Lake City had more places like this. I mean, really, do we need another Alberto's or Crown Burger?? Salt Lake needs more people like the Finn's family, willing to bring, different, high-quality food to a middle-sized city.

Welcome Back!!!!. My husband and I went to this quaint place on a Sunday for brunch. The place looks and feels great with the matching blonde ceiling, tables and floor. We were greeted very kindly and our name was put on a short wait list. We only waited for about 10 minutes - but I am sure the wait will be much longer BUT worth it in the summer time with the patio dining that will be available. The menu consists of breakfast and lunch items. The coffee was great and the juices are freshly sqeezed. The food is wonderful!!! My meal was healthy AND tasty!!! Those two don't always go hand in hand. My husband expected larger portions but for me it was perfect. You could go eat then immediately take a walk around town - not feeling too full. It was a little pricey compared to others that aren't comparable - make sense!?!? But you have to remember that you get what you pay for and I would much rather pay for fresh high quality food. Oh and the hashbrowns were the best that I have had in a long time!! Welcome Back Finn's!!!
