Unethical business practices. we went to civilizzation for the going out of business sale. We went twice to get the best possible price. My wife got a bid and I got a bid. When we went back to purchace the furniture, they would not honor the price they gave my wife. Their own liquidator gave her the price, and because we had both been in the store they tried to make us pay the higher price. I hope they really are going out of business. I have now heard 3 other stories from other people having problems with them. They are Shysters and hopefully this going out of business is the final time. I would never purchace anything from them.

Thank you. Thank you Civilizzation for helping us locate our furniture even when it meant suggesting another furniture store. Your salespeople were professional and considerate of our needs to the point of calling the manager at the other store to verify the inventory and providing directions. Thank you!!

Love my leather couches. I absolutely love my leather couches! These guys are the best. No one else can do this at their prices. Glad I went!

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! THEY ARE SHADY!!!. I purchased a sofa from this store with a check (they do accept checks), the manager said I had to wait for the check to clear (up to 30 days, yeah right) and he would call me when the check cleared. Three business days later the check cleared, I called to make arrangements for pick-up I got the office manager and he told me I would have to wait for the manager to verify.

At this point I learned the company that was working with Civilizzations on the liquidation left because of the manager cheating people. A day and a half later I spoke to the Manger and he said I he received the money but he wouldn't release the sofa to me for 30 days. He would consider it if I had some guarantee that I wouldn't take the money out of his account three weeks from now. Yes I don't get it either this man is crazy and a crook.

I reported this to the police and the officer I talked to told me they have had many complains but they can do nothing about it. I have started a complaint with the BBB, written to Get Gephartd, and have statements from employees and former employees about them. Next week I am filling with small claims court.

Please don't support his business!!!!!!!!!!!

MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR GETTING. I went here because of an advertisement of "Going Out Of Business" which is the second or third time this business has advertised this. The place has a mold and musty smell, especially in the basement. and the furniture smells the same. They sell mattresses also.....

I would not buy anything from there due to the smell, and just think, you buy a new sofa or mattress and all of a sudden your getting sick......... BEWARE ............. young couples placing their small children on their new (mold/musty) sofa..... some one should contact the health department. I am not certain where to begin.

Very Good Customer Service!!!!. I purchased a cabinet from Civilizzation over a year ago, and it had an imperfection on the surface top. I didn't say anything at the time but over the past months it bothered me more and more. I called Civilizzation just hoping that they might be able fix it. I just got a call from customer service today, and they are going to repair it "as a courtesy". That's what I call customer service!

Very good purchase!!. I went to Civilizzation for the first time last week and purchased a living room set that is made with the best leather I've seen! It is the real deal... soft, thick, and actually smells like real leather. This is definitely one of my favorite furniture stores in utah. The quality and warranty make it worth it!!! I am definitely not going to make the mistake of buying cheap furniture again.
